A great day out.- although book at least 2 days prior as tickets are a 3rd cheaper. Child under 90cm free. We arrived at 1030 after opening hours no queue, lots of parking. They have lots of different walks to collect dinosaur stamps once all collected child gets a free medal They have an animal encounter area which was closed. High ropes which opens after 11.00 daily shows in the dippy theatre we took my son to the live action on he’s only 2 and we felt this was the only thing he’d sit through. What we were impressed by was the amount of soft play areas and out door park areas. This kept my son entertained all day. We stayed for 4 hours and could of stayed longer. Food was expensive and not great. We took our own. So areas where difficult with my pram uneven ground newborn baby but most areas were accessible. They had a little sandpit to dig fossils and a race track. Overall a good family day out
If your child loves dinosaurs, this is the place to go. We visited last week and had a lovely time. Be warned, it's hilly !! My only reason for marking down by one, was that some of the paths need resurfacing. Some have been done already which is great, but others need doing as it's difficult to get a buggy through and would be even harder for a wheelchair. Other than that we had a lovely day out. Huge outside play area for children, with sand pit and the added bonus of a splash park for the warmer weather we went in march so it wasn't open There are two indoor play areas, we didn't use them as we went on a nice dry day. Children can collect stamps around the park to earn a medal at the end. Nice cafe selling a variety of food and drinks.
Great day out for the family. Very good parking. Kids can collect stamps on a card for a reward at the end. The dinosaurs are very good, with sone that make noises and move. The water area is great fin for the kids - and very welcome in the heat ! Various activities around - slides, okay areas and karts. Food outlets are good and not to expensive. All in all a great family day out.
Lots of dinosaur themed trails to walk and see. There were also real animals there to see and timed animal encounters. A lot of fun for the kids but dress warm for colder days. Didn't have to pay extra for mini golf or the racing cars. Not much choice for food though.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
Wonderful place to spend a day outdoors and indoors with kids. The staff was really friendly and everything was clean and tidy. There's a lot of things to do, but our favourite was The Valley of Dinosaurs. Definitely recommend this place and can't wait to come back again.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Busy when we visited but we were still easily able to visit all of the attractions during the day. Good to see some improvements since our last visit a few years ago. Be prepared to mortgage your house for food BYO sandwiches if you can! and the donuts/coffee ordering systems defies explanation so check you're in the right queue! Still, kids had good fun 1 x 10yo, 1 x 7yo so worth a visit!
Amazing day out , the kids love it . Definitely worth a visit. Plenty to do! There is a splash play as well so it's even better on summer.Visited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Visited today while on holiday to Thorpe Forest with my 4yr old son and husband. It took us an hour to drive to but well worth it. We booked online, £10 a ticket and spent the whole day there. Despite some parts being closed we didn't manage to get round the whole place. Went at the pace of our son who had the best day! Loads of free parking on arrival, the lady at the entrance was lovely and explained where the closest toilets were and gave us a map and a stamp activity for a free dino medal on exit for my son to collect. The park areas are brillant, lots of slides, climbing, swings, soft play clean and staff friendly. Lots of toilets, son loved the pendal go karts, dino trail, movie and crazy golf. The movie we really enjoyed but there was children crying because it's a bit scary. I think this should be explained to parents before entering as everyone had under 5s there today. We were expecting a short show about Dippy the Dino who's yellow. The animal section was closed due to an outbreak of bird flu in the area. We were more than happy for this to be closed off and this is certainly the right thing to do. Sadly the pizza cafe was closed due to sickness with staff which left the cafe in the softplay only for food. We took a picnic but not drinks. £1.95 for a can of Pepsi is a rip off and we were disappointed by these prices. Stayed all day and had a brillant time. Definitely aimed at younger children maybe under 9s I'd say but our son is 4yrs old and loved it. Highly recommend for a day out!
I just finished my holiday with my to childs 1 and 3 years old. We visited place like zoo park, safary park, sundown But i seen more smiles and happines in here. The park is very big. Kids need energy of two days. To wach and play in all park. Is the best place so far i visited in england. We just love it
This is a great day out for younger children under 12's, older children will probably find it a bit boring. I would recommend bringing a picnic as the food is on the expensive side. The food is delicious, I would recommend the loaded fries from Dippy's pizza and fries, as they are on the cheaper side about £7 and really tasty. The children's pizza and fries is perfect for 10's and under. I would also recommend taking drinks bottles as £2 a can will soon leave a hole in your pocket, plus there is a water dispenser, for filling up bottles, next to the Nautilus fish and chip kiosk. They have recently added a lot of animatronic dinosaurs around the park which was great to see, as a lot of the dinosaurs have been there since I went round there as a young child 20+ years ago and look quite dated. They appear to have a wasp problem in most of the seating areas near the food kiosks, especially near the bins. Great to spend the whole day here, I will definitely go again next year.
