I was in Grays and needed dinner for me and my family so we tried here, we really should have got a sandwich from Morrisons. The battered sausage was bad and the chips were even worse, they weren't even cooked properly and just fell apart, well the ones that weren't stuck to the bag fell apart and some were stone cold,y son's burger certainly wasn't worth the money either. I certainly won't be going to this place again, I sooner starve than go there.
Food is awsome however the staff member I encountered was extreemly rude. I had paid for my meal on card as I had no cash. I asked for some burge sauce and was told I couldnt have it as its a £3 minimum. I asked if I could drop the 20p off tomorrow for the burger sauce as I work at the collage in the next road and was ignored as she walked to the back of the shop I could hear her making comments to her collegue. THERES NO NEED TO BE SO RUDE!
I have just visited Dhillons with my family the food was really really good the chips were cooked perfect and the hot wings were also amazing!! Very friendly & polite staff!! Would highly recommend.
We visited this place in summer right after we got off from the Train, Grays station and heading to the beach. There were two fish and chips restaurants on each side, we picked Dhillon. We picked this restaurant because it was very clean. The price was very reasonable and the staffs were very polite. One piece of haddock was 5 pounds. It was a big piece too!! love both fish and chips!! we bought it and ate it at the park. The staffs knew we were tourists, they suggested us what to buy. We also took a lot of pictures. I recommend this place to people who come to visit Grays, UK
I have just bought 2 chicken and mushroom pies and a portion of chips when I get them home the pies were still frozen inside . Tried to find phone number but one on their site doesn't work

I have used Dhillons for many years but they have gone downhill. Not sure if the ownership has changed but the chips are awful so is the sausage in batter, bland and no taste and whatever oil they used to use they have changed which has changed the taste drastically. The wings have doubled in price from £1.49 for 5 to £3 for 5, and smaller. I’m going try elsewhere as I’ve given it the benefit of the doubt. Shame
Never had chips and sausage in batter so greasy. Made me feel sick. Won't be going back
