I have attended funerals here regularly since 1980. It is never a happy place or time to visit, as obviously someone has passed away. However, the site is always well maintained and has undergone some renovation in recent years. Inside, it has a reasonable amount of seating and is comfortable bearing in mind it is a place of great sadness. The staff at the site are always polite and respectful.
I've been here a couple of times now, neither of which have been under particularly good circumstances. However, the staff were all very courteous, and tried to be as inconspicuous as possible. The grounds were well kept and maintained, and the place has a nice feel to it, even on the worst of days. Cannot say a bad thing about it at all.
Webpage does not show the opening times for visiting which is a pain as we turned up and the gates were shut.nMade several phonecalls whilst we were there as the opening times by the gates showed it should be open but no answer. Had to return another day.nShame as it was the anniversary of my wifes late mother.nCrematorioum grounds are well laid out and kept neat and tidy. There is a large carpark for visitors.
Hi there ,nnIt was my aunties funeral yesterday, I went with family, and its the first time I have been to this crematorium.nI have to say I was hugely annoying and disappointed with your gardeners, grounds men, all through the ceremony all we could hear was the lawn mowers engines, and at times we couldn't even here the women talking.nI wanted to get up and come out and speak to one of your men/women/ but didnt want to seem disrespectful.nAs a gardner of a funeral grounds, I'm sure you know when a service starts and ends, couldn't it just wait.nAll everyone after could talk about was the noise and how it was so disrupting, instead of remembering her.nAnd I am speaking on behalf of everyone else there.nIm not impressed at all.nnNelly Naylor
Funerals are never great experiences, though the one I attended was brief and well organised. The service itself was very good.nThe decor was pleasant.
