Lived at Dev during my semester abroad and loved it. Beautiful building, nice big rooms, gym , music practice rooms and snooker and pool tables. I felt proud to live in such an historic building. Also tends to be quieter at night compared to some other residences and I was happy to get my sleep. There we're plenty of activities especially during the first 2 weeks and they even have their own choir, band and musical club. Staff were nice for the most part. I was nervous to have been assigned a shared bathroom but honestly it was fine since it gets professionally cleaned every week. They do formal dinners a few times per semester which was a fun. Would definitely recommend dev to new students.
I spent a few days hosted in this residence during a conference at Leeds. The staff was extraordinarily friendly, particularly the porter. It's got a nice, academic atmosphere. Great breakfast and facilities!
Security are so rude and aggressive here. They came up to me and my friends and aggressively asked what we were doing and why I had my dog was visiting a friend and was walking along road. My friend who lives in the halls has been shouted at aggressively aside of this as well
One of my favourite student halls. The common rooms are spacious and modern, one with a TV, the other with snooker tables. There is one small pool table well.
I was there in the 70s. Didn't have en suites in those days; draughty bathroom on ground floor. I see the snooker tables are still there. The gym is an addition.
