Reviews

Unspoilt island, so you get a real feel for what it was really like for the monks centuries ago.  A very harsh life in the winter, but balanced by stunning views in the summer. So peaceful. No tacky souvenir shops.  Toilets on site.

Canoe'd up from town which is quite a hike. A well maintained site although not very large. I would have liked to climb the tower but I can I can image the Health and Safety folks have put a stop to that. Still has some ruins to scramble over. No cost.

Great site, great views and full of history. The tower isn't open often and no BBQ on the island.
