Excellent place to for artists' materials, and excellent examples of craft from pottery to jewelry, woodwork to textile art.

Lovely place .beautifully deborayed for the weddding receprion. Compact but comfortable

Lad in the shop was extremely helpful  stripey shirt, brown hair, didn't get his name. 10/10 customer service, directed us to what we were after, offered advice on the products and felt he was genuinely engaged. The blonde lady in the cafe made me a lovely coffee and also seemed genuinely happy to be there.  11/10.

I love this place but there is one woman who works on the counter in the "Details" shop who clearly thinks that she is "someone". Her customer service skills are negligible; she finds working with the public infra dig. But for her, I'd give the place five stars...

Great venue for theatre acting school

Always have a great experience visiting the Art Centre.  It's a little gem in the city.

If you are looking for handmade gifts and tasteful cards then the Craft Shop at Newcastle Arts Centre is the place to go. Also under the same roof is the fantastic Details Art shop where you will find art materials for all your projects. A real gem with friendly knowledgeable staff who are all artists too.
