Management are deliberately spiteful and malicious! Support staff are AMAZING! Management and social worker allowed my son to smash his head off the walls continually day and night for approximately two years and ignored all my pleas for help! My son ultimately ended up in a medically induced coma for 2 weeks, they then abandoned my non verbal and severely autistic son in ITU! Can you imagine how traumatic and frightening that experience was for him and our family! They then spent the Summer using their service to bully us and spread lies, letters and attempted to discredit me at every opportunity! I asked for evidence to back up their claims, Derwen provided none! Lies, Lies, Lies!!!! Unfit organisation! If my experience sounds like fiction, I wish that were true! It’s been a living nightmare and hell! Even the dishonest part time but on full time council waged Manageress at the Hafan y Ser respite unit in Penrhyndeudraeth blatantly engages in total discrimination against disabled children and the service allows it! Claiming my son wasn’t happy there, even though I have physical evidence to the contrary and there was no mention of this prior to his hospitalisation, clearly the Manageress didn’t want the additional work looking after him, my son was obviously too much work for her … What is a respite service for???? Blatant discrimination! I have her lies recorded and if putting the phone down on me because I merely asked her if she had children herself in the hope of some understanding warrants a warning letter Honestly! I have the recording! Then what hope???!!!! Check out the freedom of information on Hafan y Ser I obtained! The unit doesn’t provide good value for taxpayers money! An elderly couple one of whom required a hip replacement provided a far superior respite service before the Hafan y Ser multi million pound money pit opened! Hafan y Ser should be seriously embarrassed about what a couple past retirement age could achieve and what Hafan y Ser clearly can’t, don’t and won’t!!!! We really needed respite, help and support! Instead Derwen repeatedly bullied and lied and I can prove everything! I believe that people should be aware of what lies behind the false ‘caring’ facade of this organisation. I could write a book and maybe I shall. Formal complaints are on their way. Corinna.
Worked for this company they never paid me for what I worked. Very unorganised managers who don't reply to your questions. I will be taking this further been treated very badly. Not very pleasant to work for
