Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides mental health, children's, learning disabilities and substance misuse services in Derby and Derbyshire.
Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (DHCFT) was established on 1 February 2011 when Monitor, the Independent Regulator of NHS Foundation Trusts, authorised Derbyshire Mental Health Services NHS Trust to become a Foundation Trust.
In April 2011 we became the provider of Children’s Universal and Specialist Services for Derby city following a successful tender process.
In addition as part of the Transforming Community Services (TCS) programme, Community Paediatric Services and Substance Misuse Services from NHS Derby City were transferred into the organisation.
We are the largest provider of mental health, learning disabilities and substance misuse services in Derbyshire, primarily serving the people of Derbyshire and Derby city which has a combined population of approximately 1 million.
We have more than 2,300 staff who cover a range of services over 90 sites throughout the county.
