The staff are excellent, work hard, but most are paid a low wage.nDCC recently blamed the staff pay increase as the cause of the £33 million deficit. The directors should get out and see the issues the staff face and live for a month on a low salary membership
CALL 999 or NHS DIRECT, never DERBYSHIRE SOCIAL SERVICES MATLOCKnCalled social services over a week ago. With a safe guarding issue about a next door neighbour who lives on her own and has in my opinion and from previous experience developed dementure, unsteady on her feet and hallucinating. After about 35 minutes on the phone asking my name and address 3 times, then the same with the neighbour's details then asking again more than once why I thought it was a safe guarding issue. I ended up calling time on the call as there was nothing left for me to tell them. I received a call today wanting more information!!nI told them their to late she has had a fall been on the floor over night undressed apparently. Found by another neighbour. IF SHE HAD NOT CALLED ROUND AND CALLED AN AMBULANCE THIS PERSON WOULD BE DEAD!!nnShe is in hospital in and out of consciousness with a broken hip to poorly to operate on and was suffering from effects of hypothermiannMatlock social services what is the purpose of your job? Shame on you!
Tried to use the online Derbyshire map to find a Right of Way number and report an obstruction. Doesn't show the numbers, unable to report problem. Had registered with email address and password but it wouldn't allow me back in. Resorted to writing a letter instead.
50 minutes waiting for someone to answer my call to Call Derbyshire, regarding an urgent care assessment for a vulnerable adult. I can't fault the person who answered, but it is the system I have given 1 star for; is not for for purpose.
Spoke to Amanda on the phone this morning - got through straightaway, she was absolutely lovely and pointed me in the right direction : thankyou Amanda!
