Clean modern bus station. Our bus was here and the information board didn’t tell us, also the path to our bus had a barrier in the way.
As central as we are, it's a good focal point for sojourning in Derby. They knew it would be a central location and it is well prepared thus. God bless Derby bus station Amen
Stayed in hotel close to this bus station and called into the shop to get a few goodies for the evening. Myself my wife and my daughter who is 15 all chose nibbles and drinks for our hotel room.nWhen I went to the till to pay I noticed a small vodka behind the counter so I asked for a bottle for a little night cap.nThis little Asian girl was serving and declined to serve me.nI said I’m 56 what’s the problem she replied I can’t serve you because she’s under 18 pointing at my daughter, I said no she’s 15 but vodka isn’t for her.nI got another member of staff over and managed to be served.nI’ve never heard of this law before but she had a proper attitude. Spend my money somewhere else next time I’m down
Worst bus station I have ever used. Cold all the time. The bay I use is always having both doors open. Bay 18 always bloody freezing! Why?nnBeen a few weeks since this post no feedback. Again bay 18 doors permanently open asv well as the doors to the rear of the bus station! So caught in between freezing breeze between the two sets of doors! Been like this all winter. WHY?????
Stupidly controversial bus station due to the demolition of the old bus station; however, there's really no comparison between the two.nnWarm for the most part, dry, out of the wind, generally clean and well staffed so pretty much safe.nnThe information boards are airport style, giving bus number, destination and time, they're electronic so are pretty much live and are pretty accurate.nnTheres a superb mini supermarket that sells pretty much everything and is great for grabbing a drink or hot/cold snack...it's also superb if you're a little drunk as it sells random stuff that you only ever buy after a few alcoholic beverages.nnThere are toilets...but they're a bit grim depending on the time of day and sometimes free but sometimes cost 20p or thereabouts.
