Violets tea room at Denver mill. A hidden gem of a tea room, loverly setting with loverly staff. Arrived early so limited range but lucky enough the large sausage rolls just out of oven, best ever tasted. I’m told buy my wife it gets really busy weekends when she met friend here. Also small ladies ware shop and pub in same place served buy one fairly large car park. Worth a visit if in area of Downham Market.
Lovely well kept site in a quite village. Two small ponds which although with low water like most water table ponds at the moment produced several large roach and beautiful carp up to 10lb. Owners were very present and helpful. Only reason for 4 stars is the lack of an onsite toilet. However for £12 per night including electric, water, toilet/waste emptying points and £5 a day for fishing its a great value site.
Lovely, quaint windmill used as bar, tea shop and clothing shop. Good quality sandwiches, homemade cakes and decent coffee.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Scones were fabulous, and so was the lemon and ginger cakeVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This was our first visit to the Denver Windmill built 1835, grade ll 6 storey tower mill which has been restored. The Millstone tea rooms on site sell a variety of food and drink, staff were cheerful and friendly, we had a cappuccino but unfortunately for me it was far to hot.
Gutted the mill itself is now closed. Staff pleasent, Coffee shop didn't serve ice-cream on a mega hot day, sat outside in the pub garden nice enough to relax for a bit and enjoy the sunshine. Clothes shop n beauty place there, nice for THE OLDER generation to go have a chill out there I'm sure
Not many in, nice beer and wine but cold I had to put my jacket on Brilliant craft cabinet made by the bar tender
Nice spot to have lunch. Very polite service. The presentation of the food was lovely and the quality very good. I did ask for the sausage roll to be heated but they didn't, but c'est la vie. It was all good anyway.
Very nice cafe with great food and sweet treats.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Three stars because all web browsing suggested the Windmill itself is open to view but unfortunately this is not the case so it was a wasted journey from that point of view. However, the tearoom was lovely and the food generous.Visited onWeekend
