Intresting shop well worth a visit

Extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff with a wide variety of delicious olive oils, spirits, and even vinegar - surprisingly good!

Brilliant place to explore the tastes and smells of homebrewed liquors and wines that leave a distinctive taste on the palet. Reasonable prices with reductions for returning empty bottles for refilling. Nice that free tastings are offered before buying. Customer service is very good and the staff are very knowledgeable in their products.

Fantastic customer service! Placed an order online for a birthday gift which was delayed in arriving due to lockdown. When I called to enquire, Joe was very polite and helpful and ensured my order was fastracked for arrival the following day. Very happy with how my call was dealt with, and the gift went down very well too!

Ordered online for a special birthday.  Arrived missing one of the vinegar but I spoke to them. Genuine mistake,  it happens but it's how you fix it is the key. The team in York did a great job in fixing the problem. The packaging and product quality is brilliant. Love the elderflower vinegar..

The lady behind the counter was so friendly and helpful,not pushy at all. We were there for a while,did a few tasters and settled on a gin for a friends birthday, a spiced rum for myself and a greek vinegar for cooking. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back.

My favourite location in York! The Seville orange gin is a must. I tried the lime vodka for the first time today and it's another winner. Great staff, great service and even better drink

I can't say how much I love this brand and their products. A staple part of my birthday and christmas artisan presents for friends and family.  Charming shops, lovely owner and interesting newsletter. All products are made by their own suppliers and staff always know their stuff as well as being massively helpful and patient. Can't complain one bit!

I was in York today and looking for gifts. Couldn't find what I need, I was on my way back to the rail station when I saw Demijohn.  I walked in and it was a good time to get in about 11:30am there since there was only me and another customer. After the associate finished with the current customer, he greeted me and asked for my need. I said I need some whiskey and then he proceeded to talk with me in depth of what he has in store now. I am certainly not a whiskey expert and I was carrying a backpack walking in. Still, he was in no hurry offering me to taste and discuss with me on all things whiskey in a very professional way.  So I tasted all of them and I made my choice, then I said I would also need some vinegar. Again, he knows about what he is selling he probably knows more about whiskey and most importantly discuss with me passionately.  He was the only one on staff at that time today, and so if there were five customers already in front of me, I knew I would have to wait before he can focus on me. Yet, I would have no complain at all, since what he is doing is focus on every individual customer in front of him. Just know when it is your turn you will be taken care of. I think it is worth the wait.  Bottom line: Because of the service, I left with a very nice gift for someone who loves whiskey and cook. And I added a little more knowledge about whiskey for myself.
