We booked Delicate Daisy for our wedding last year, 30th June 2016. We paid Sylvia £796.95 for our wedding flowers. We were due to marry, an outside ceremony at 3pm. Sylvia had said in our contract that she would arrive to decorate the venue, our cake, etc at 11am, so plenty of time before our ceremony. On the day of our wedding she turned up at 2.55pm, just 5 minutes before we were due to marry. Our guests had arrived to an undecorated venue, no one had their button holes, my bridesmaids didn't' have their fresh flowers for the hairdressers to put in their hair. I, being the bride, was of course very upset and stressed at this point but relieved that my flowers had finally arrived. Sylvia arriving late however, had a huge knock on affect on the rest of our day. After a few preceremony wedding photos while my bridesmaids were putting the flowers in their hair and all the flowers were being sorted, it was now 3.45 and our ceremony sadly had to moved inside as it began to rain. After the ceremony the timings for our photo's was greatly decreased so we didn't get half of the photos with our friends and family that we had wanted. I then went through to see my wedding cake that we had paid Sylvia to decorate with fresh flowers, when i saw the cake i cried (please see attached photos). She had stuck a few button holes in the cake, it looked dreadful. We had to quickly hide the cake as our guests were about to come through for the wedding breakfast. My bridesmaid and the wedding coordinator had to then use my bouquet to decorate the cake, which meant i no longer had a bouquet to keep and cherish as i had planned. My Bridesmaids then missed some of the wedding breakfast as they were busy decorating my cake, the Wedding Breakfast over ran because of all the delay caused by Sylvia and our evening guests began arriving before we were finished. It truly had such a huge affect on the whole day. My wedding video shows a bare venue with no floral decoration at all. My photos are half of what they should have been, my morning getting ready was stressful as from 11am all I could think about was where my flowers were. Sylvia said she was sick and that was why she was late. It's my opinion that she did another wedding or floristry job that morning thinking she had plenty of time. I may be wrong, but if she were sick then she should have had provisions in place to get the flowers to my venue in plenty of time. I have spoken to several professional florists all of which have informed me they have these provisions in place and to be late for a wedding is completely unacceptable and the least you could do is refund. My husband complained after our wedding and received abuse from both Sylvia and her boyfriend (who actually threatened my husband). Sylvia then put £50 through my door and left a bunch of flowers. Hardly any consolation for the distress and upset caused. I have written to her asking for a refund and have been ignored. Up until now I have been too upset to pursue it or leave a review for her, everytime i thought about it I cried, but almost a year after I am feeling stronger. I have tried to leave an honest review on her facebook page but she has blocked me. I wonder how many other upset customers and brides she has blocked from letting others know the truth of her service? A very upsetting, disappointing and stressful experience all round. Once she took my money, the customer service has been non existent. Avoid at all costs.
