"Zinco Lounge is right in the heart of the city centre, close by The Kingsway and Castle Square. We’ve a lovely airy space with high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and a great little outdoor area. We’re on the site of the old David Evans department store, and if you’re browsing for a warm and welcoming place with a fantastic range of food and drinks including kids, gluten free and vegan menus, then you’ve certainly come to the right department. Ooo sorry."
Zinco is so ridiculously underpriced for what it is. The decor is beautiful, staff are always friendly and the food is crazy good. What makes the place stand out to me, however, is that they somehow manage to fit so many types of food into the menu, and yet none of them fall behind on quality. Noodle dishes, burgers, light sandwiches, curry, low calorie options; I've tried a bunch of them over the 2 years I've been in Swansea and they never fail to impress, even the low calories options are still packed with flavour. Considering that they are at such low prices as well, it's definitely worth a visit.
Pretty good dine in, the staff where very helpful. Food came right on time. The decor inside is lovely and the tables were well spaced which I enjoyed. The burger caught me by surprise, it may not look that appetizing in the picture but it's a smash, absolutely up there. We got a very good discount which is always nice. Overall, I would definitely eat here again.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, eclectic decor, love it. Unfortunately had an incredibly noisy large crowd on the night we were in but not an easy one for staff to sort. Otherwise loved it and would go back
Very warm and welcoming place. Cool decor. Friendly staff and speedy service. Really good food. The Lounge Eggs were the highlight.
Used to visit zinco every few months or so and it was great, the last few times they seem to have taken the best thing off the menu the brisket chilli a bit disappointing but I understand some things are harder to get hold of. The last time me and my partner visited was actually pretty bad, the burger was tiny and was less than what I’d give a child, and the fries were over done and burnt, my partner ordered a chicken burger with avocado which was over 2£ extra for the avocado and had about 3 very small slices in it. I also witnessed a chef sitting in the dining area near the bar eating her lunch in chef clothes of which I understand is against hygiene rules. As a hospitality business owner myself, I’d expect a lot more out of here considering how much we paid for our food. Good points, the atmosphere is always good here and the coffee is great, and also can’t fault staff for their friendliness.
Enjoyed both dishes that we got. The chicken/bacon/avo burger was nice and juicy chips could’ve been salted a bit more. The noodles were also very flavourful. Only disappointing item was the watery chocolate milkshake which tasted like it came straight out of a milk bottle.
We went for breakfast and ordered a verity of vegan, lounge, and vegetarian breakfast. It wasn't great.. but decent enough.. However, the atmosphere is a big plus.Food: 4/5
Love the Lounges. Beautiful presented delicious food and drinks and gorgeous decor. Situated centrally, it’s a brilliant place to grab food when in Swansea city centre, with plenty choices for people with all kinds of dietary requirements.
This was not a great experience Zinco is situated in a great spot, is absolutely stunning inside with its quirky decor and the staff are great, bringing our drinks upstairs was such a nice touch but it failed miserably on the food front unfortunately. We were in a group of people for a small baby shower and when the food started arriving it was obvious that this was not going to be pleasant. My 'freshly grilled' chicken ciabatta was cold, the house slaw was more like pickled veg it was so acidic none of us could bare to eat it. My friends salmon with noodles was unbelievably dry, it was so overcooked. And the Buttermilk chicken that other friends ordered was burnt and dry. I don't know what happened in the kitchen but I'm surprised the food was sent out like this. We are all people that wouldn't say anything but this was not a good experience sadly.
I came here because I was made aware of the gluten free menu that you offer and as someone who suffers from celiac disease it is sometimes hard to find good food when you are out and about Swansea. The gluten free menu did not disappoint. There were lots of options for meals without gluten on the gluten free menu and they were made to the same standards as the normal menu. I had tapas which I found delicious. I had the pulled chicken and chorizo, Mozzarella arancini and pulled brisket chilli. Will definitely come back here for good and affordable food!
