I walked into this shop to a scowling woman. I didn't mind so much as people are pretty much disgruntled nowadays with one thing and another. I asked whether there was anything gluten free and she turned around and said no. Then I asked for a breakfast sandwich. She sighed loudly and raised her eyes to the ceiling. I though I had made a common mistake of entering the wrong shop. But no. She was obviously not meeting my smile. I asked for a scone, clotted cream and jam. Don't have any she replied clearly irritated. I asked her why she was being so rude and her face contorted grotesquely and she said "I think you are really rude!" Classic response as a sign of defense. That said. The cakes were nice. But the proprietor was not and needs to attend a personality course.
