I have got to say around this side of the city there is not another Indian takeaway that is anywhere near as good. I have tried various Indian places in Sutton and Erdington, there is not another place that gets the dishes right like these guys, I have tried various curries from this place, rangeing from sweet, mild and vindaloo hot. The flavours in all their dishes is actually there and for that this place is bang on the money. All their food seems fresh and the food is never in a bath of oil. Ontop of that their portions are quite generous and best of all their prices are very modest. Staff are lovely. best Indian food this side of the city by far.
There's some dodgy reviews on here, which has made us write to counter them. We've enjoyed curries from Delhi Express for about a year now. It does take about 45 minutes to an hour to come but we think it's worth the wait. It's always warm enough - sometimes too hot to eat yet. The curries are clearly made with fresh ingredients, with big chunks of well cooked chicken and the nan looks freshly made too. The basmati rice is always fluffy and the onion bahjis are lovely. None of it is too greasy or oily, which is often the case with takeaway curries and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Our favourite is the chicken tikka balti bhuna. We like it enough we've become regulars. Best local takeaway curry we've found for years.
Bad. Ordered a chicken tikka vinderloo with extra green chillis and a chicken tikka dupiaza. I got a bland dupiaza with chillis thrown in and a bland mild "vinderloo" sag dish... Obviously never listened to me when I said my partner likes his vinderloo HOT! I even ate some and I don't do spicy! Spent most of the time picking the chillis out my dupiaza. Total c*ck up. Chips greasy. Poppadoms were the best part of the whole thing. Completely effortless. I feel robbed.
I originally started using due to 4 course offer. Delivered 10 minutes after they told me it would be. It arrived cold with some items not as requested when I phoned to tell them I was told I was lying. Terrible experience won't be back
If you like curry dont go here, first review ive ever done but had to for this to stop people before they waste their money. Curry was luke warm, not correct, bland....etcetc close it down
Best Indian takeaway in the area imho. Staff are great on the phone, delivery is always prompt and the food is brilliant.
Worst food I have tasted. And also doesn't comply with UK laws
