We were visiting the area staying in St Fillans and fancied a meal out. Found them on Google and past the restaurant on our trips out. Walked up just after 6.30pm for a table for 2 and they could not have been more accomadating. The food and service was exceptiona, just what we needed during our trip! Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back soon for more
My daughter and future son in law dined here on Friday 24/6/22 and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
The restaurant lived up to expectations with exceptional food, very good wine and excellent service. The small rooms offer a quiet and cosy dining experience and the service is attentive but not intrusive. Since the restaurant was busy from opening time so I would recommend you book. Given the high quality of the food and the excellence of the cooking, presentation and service the value for money was very good.
Absolutely amazing. Among the best dinners we've had anywhere in Scotland. Small and personal restaurant with an excellent selection of local dishes. Well worth the effort to get a reservation.
A gem in Perthshire. Hearty and tasty food. Warm welcome and attentive service. Best review we can give is we look forwarded to going back. Thank you Deil’s Cauldron.
Today I did the circular walk at Comrie Perthshire, one of the best circular walks around, it has everything you need for a good walk, mountains in the distance, waterfalls including the Diels cauldron, Riverside walk, a Shaky bridge beautiful trees, passes through Glen Lednock and Laggan Woods, takes about 2 hours at a steady pace. Interesting up market cuisine for a special occasion. Wise to book in advance as gets very busy. Parking: Parking outside on road. But I should imagine it can get busy but plenty of room when we visited mid September.
Gloomy decor and hurried service. Food good but ordinary. What is "baby avocado" apart from a very small avocado? Very expensive. Vegetarian options: Restricted options for vegetarians.
The service and food was excellent. The steak I had was cooked pretty much perfectly. Very very good. The only thing was the price of the mains…over £23 for each of the 4 main courses felt very hefty.
Excellent service. Great food. Cosy surroundings. Only 1 minor thing. The veggie in our group would like to see something other than goats cheese on a menu. However she did enjoy her goats cheese
