I randomly stopped off here smelt amazing. Had a large fish n curry sauce Well presented looked nice tasted good. The guy didn’t put salt n vinegar on actually he didn’t even offer so was a bit gutted. Neither the less good quality food
Despite Deliveroo delivered an hour later than anticipated, the App did give me a constant update to when the new delivery time will be. I ordered the Meal Deal for one and an extra Jumbo Saveloy sausage. The batter from the fish was still very crispy but the chips were slightly cold! But it was easily fixed by warming it in the oven for 5 minutes or so. The curry sauce was very lumpy but tasted ok and was full of MSG. Having say all this, I would order again from Deep Blue as I did really enjoyed it for my work Christmas lunch very much today :
Excellent fish and chips, very tasty! Delivered to hotel piping hot on time and very well packaged! Ordered a couple of times while at work. Second order was good too but let down as fish bites were very over cooked and burnt was hoping they would be consistent. But generally very favourable!
Don't bother just been in and purchase a small cod and large chips and the fish is tiny. Total cost of £12.08 I thought it was a mistake and was told we have just put our prices up wow £7.18 for.a tiny fish and £4.09.for large chips.what a rip.off well over priced compared to.other chip shops in the area and it was dry and not nice.
I do like this fish and chip shop but the prices are quite high compared to other fish and chips shops in the area.paid for a large chips for £3.99 and got a measly potion .not happy.asked for a bit more and was told by a miserable looking girl that that is the potion size.discusting. think I will be going elsewhere for cheaper and better portion fish and chips in future!
AVOID!!!! There is an extremely rude and ignorant man working here, middle aged with glasses, who shouldn’t be allowed to deal with paying customers. I went in store to order a gluten free fish and chips after i called to place an order online 6 times but my call was ignored every single time. I called before this to confirm what time they stopped serving gluten free fish to which he replied 8:30 even though it states on their website that they stop at 9pm. I went in store at 8:24 to place my order only to find out that after ignoring the calls from my number he’s thrown away the gluten free batter because i was too late when it wasn’t even half past yet! When confronted he replied that he can do whatever he wants and refused to make my order even though i told him this meal was for someone in hospital. I hope no one has to deal with such a rude, unpleasant and disrespectful man.
Chips are usually a bit soggy and never hot. Such a shame being the only place you can get gluten free cod and chips! Having been disappointed twice now I won't be returning. Very expensive for not being good chips!!
I've never had a bad meal from Deep Blue Reading. The batter on the fish is great and the curry sauce is the best in the region.
Super chippy!! We had a rather large order, due to ordering for the team at work, these guys handled it wonderfully. They did it in a timely manner and fulfilled our request. Would definitely recommend another visit... well done guys!!Food: 5/5
Recently went to deep blue.....the chips were absolutely shocking....looked like they had been there forever....and the price way over the top....travel a little bit further towards morrisons...would have done but closed on sundays....
