Deene Park is beautiful. I am grateful for the fact that not only was the house open, but the family were amongst the people taking the time to let you know the history of the house and surrounding areas. The food might have been a bit expensive, but the house and grounds made up for it. Great for a day out if you enjoy a bit of history and gardens.
This is a true gem. The gardens are wonderful and there is a great opportunity to walk around lovely unspoilt grounds. We shall definitely come again.
A brilliant place for a wedding with gorgeous backdrops at every turn. Georgina and the events team at Deene are second to none. They have thought of every eventuality and every detail and really are brilliant to work with. They really allow couples to create the day they want and despite it's proximity to nearby towns, you get such a great feeling of privacy with the place to yourself. The grounds at Deene are jaw dropping and make for perfect romantic, whimsical wedding photographs. I'd recommend this venue in heartbeat.
Had a lovely Easter Sunday at Deene Park. Granddaughter enjoyed meeting easter bunny, doing the egg hunt, and the story telling in the white garden. All the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend.
Attended the Snowdrop Walk and was amazed at the vast numbers of snowdrops everywhere. Beautiful sunny day too! Loved the cultivated snowdrops with their names. A wonderful afternoon.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
What a fantastic experience, the grounds so well maintained, the house absolutely fascinating and cosy, one visit is not enough! The guides in each room were very well informed, most friendly and helpful. Meeting Charlotte Brudenell was a special treat. Queen Elizabeth and her company were all brilliant; in character, knowledgeable, making history truly fun for adults and children alike. The coffee and cake was good too! it won't be long before we return!
Lovely visit. The staff guides in the house were really informative and friendly and added to the enjoyment of our visit. Gorgeous gardens, very impressed and left feeling like I could visit again at another time of the year to enjoy the floral displays and grounds.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Stunning building and gardens. Very easy to buy tickets and to enter the park. A lovely way to spend a late summer afternoon with family. I would have given 5 stars but next to the lake where we were directed for our picnic, the ground was covered in sheep poo, which was a bit off putting when we were eating our lunch. Maybe an area could be sectioned off, so that the sheep can't get onto it and this would make the whole picnic area much nicer to sit and eat in. Thank you
Amazing house and gardens. A tonne of history surrounds the house and the family that have owned it through the centuries. Really enjoyed our time there and will visit again.
My fiancé and I visited Deene Park on a weekend away in the Northamptonshire area. We were not disappointed in any way. Arrived and after checking in we had a picnic before exploring. The gardens are fabulous, the setting with the water framing the property was perfect. We both fully enjoyed our visit inside the house and obtained many many facts from the very friendly and knowledgeable guides, all finished off with a trip to the tearoom and drinks alfresco. We both had a delightful afternoon with every effort from the staff, was especially grateful for the guidebook given to us as I was told ‘ we feel guilty that you are not yet allowed to visit the upstairs of the property’. Well that’s a good enough excuse to have to re-visit again sometime. Thanks for a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon.
