Visited today and bought a skirt but wish I had’t as the lady was so rude from the moment I handed over the credit card. She just stopped talking to us, I didn’t know if the transaction was completed and had to ask if everything was ok and we could go. I received a curt yes not even a thank you. We had planned to go back after our walk while we thought about another item but not a chance after being treated like that. Certainly won’t ever go back again.

Being locals to the area, we decided to take a day trip to salcombe to do some shopping. From the moment we walked into the shop the shop owner was so rude. She insinuated that my mother, an average size women, was too fat to try anything on in her shop and that her ‘one size’ would be far to small. I have never experienced anything like this before and I can’t believe a shop owner could act in so horrendous way to customers who have come to spend money. Disgraceful behaviour - AVIOD!

I also don’t write reviews but I feel I need to contradict previous reviews. I called in to purchase a pair of sunglasses and the person serving couldn’t have been more helpful. Tried on several pairs and made a purchase. Had issues with my card but all sorted. I shall return when in the area again and suggest everyone find out for themselves

Don't often write reviews but feel compelled to do so. Visited yesterday and bought a couple of things. Really wish I hadn't. Struck by how incredibly rude the lady behind the counter was. Both my daughter and myself noticed. Wish I hadn't parted with my well earned money and given it to her business. Am staying for the week but will DEFINITELY NOT BE BACk Sort it out......customers are your livelihood

Having made a purchase at the shop I was horrified to witness the shop owner / manager berate  a young couple who took a pair of sunglasses to  her with a query over the robustness of the arm . Apparently there was a sign which they missed which read “Do not touch please ask for assistance” . The fact they did touch the goods they were then   shown the door and asked to leave ! Iirrespective of what they did , the owner / managers response was  shocking . I am sure during the summer season they can be very selective with their customers However,The shop is closed for  6 months during the winter , with that attitude I am sure it won’t belong before they are closed for a lot longer

I had totally the opposite experience to the previous poster. The staff were charming helpful and polite. Despite the shop being incredibly busy, they took their time with me and helped choose a gift for my mum. I’d recommend the Deck Out to all.  Thanks

I have never been into a shop where you make a purchase and the person taking your money doesn’t say thank you...until I shopped here! So very rude and impolite. Shame because it’s a beautiful shop.

Walked into the shop, the owner was instantly rude , she shouted shut that door, my friend was about to buy something before the owner telling her she was too big for it and should try a bigger size because of her waist. After leaving the store she shouted down the road “ your not welcome back I was just trying to advise you on the size you tried to buy you tart” after reading threes reviews i no longer feel alone and feel like I was personally attacked by the shop owner.
