Story

Decathlon, was established in 1976 (Lille, France). After a decade of growth, the brand expanded into the European market and eventually worldwide with over 1000 stores. Launching in the UK in 1999, Decathlon is now one of the world’s largest sports retailers, boasting 30 stores in the UK and a strong relationship with ASDA. Therefore making “sport accessible to all” by offering best value equipment with great sports advice and services such as 365-days return, bike repairs, free running events etc.

Decathlon prides itself on the developing and selling of its own brands, alongside other recognizable names such as, Nike, Adidas, Garmin and FitBit . Junior was an absolute star today. He knows what he is doing and how to treat customers. He was patient, listened to my requirements and helped me enormously. I went in determined to buy some trainers, but did not gave a clue what I needed. I came out with suitable trainers. Great shopping experience.

Will N was great! The customer service was so excellent. I was looking for a swim training kit for my child and he helped us identify everything that we needed and gave good advice.

I was at the Decathlon Wensbury today to buy a badminton racket for competitive play. A lovely young gentleman called Alex was extremely helpful in helping me to decide which racket to buy. He cleared up any doubts that I had and personalised my purchase depending on what I wanted to play, how I wanted to play, and my needs. He helped me decide on the price range and type of product. Jack was our salesman today dealing with us. He was super helpful and approached us to assist before we even had time to ask for help. He was very efficient and knowledgeable on the products we were looking for. We left as very satisfied customers. TEN stars for Decathlon Wednesbury. Definitely our favourite camping shop. Well done to all the team. The lady behind the enquiries counter was also a real pleasure to deal with.

Will N has been fantastic during my visit today; never been hiking and was looking for some advice on hiking boots and Will’s knowledge was incredible. He was very engaging, listened to my needs and talked me through their stock.  A very friendly and personable guy which resulted in me buying some boots! Will is a credit to the Decathalon branch in Wednesbury. I will be back again due to the positive experience I had today.

Visited Decathlon for a few bits for a trip.to Scotland. After chatting to a really nice guy Will N who asked us if we needed we ending up buying some really useful things for our trip. Including a wetsuit which he recommended and fitted perfectly on our 12 year old son. Will N went above and beyond and really help us with some outdoor items we needed. Very polite, professional and he's definitely the go to for in store help. Me and my wife bought a waterproof coat too. Will mentioned a few things we might need what we hadn't thought about. I think he envisaged himself on our trip and them asked have we got do we need. Thanks Will and your recommendations really have been useful.

Excellent customer service received from Will N & Jack with the purchase of some ladies walking shoes. They knew their stock, and correctly advised that I only needed the basic cross country range, and not the dearer styles. So pleased with my purchase, thanks boys.10/10

We visited the Wednesbury store today just to have a look round for a bike for our son. But once there we got looking at tents and ended up with one. Jack was extremely helpful ordering items that weren't in stock, arranging delivery to a more local store and just being very pleasant and knowledgeable.
