Staff very friendly . Food average
Long wait for simple order when we were one of the few eating. Burger was fine, chicken and chowder too salty. Wings drenched in marinade make it far too overpowering. Nice setting, easy parking. Genuinely think this pub would have better quality food for their evening service, though based on our experience we won't be finding this out on our own accord.
The lambs and steaks are just amazing! Worth visiting, You won't be disappointed!
Solid better than average pub grub. Reasonable priced menu. Food was definitely at the cusp of 5 star but the chicken wings only had a coating of sauce while the salad had just a bit too lettuce and only one kind. The burger was perfect and the skinny chips also. Highly recommend for anyone in the area.
The two stars are for only one of the waiting staff who was a sweet kid as the rest where blunt and just not pleasant as for the food I've had better ready-made meals and the carbonara was worse then Icelands. The beer is good though but they've got the heating turned off in the smoking area.Very disappointing overall.
Had the steak on the stone here and it was very good. Staff friendly.
Taxi driver recommended this place as we wanted to get some food and have a few drinks before we went to a gig at Phoenix Park, which is a 15 minute walk from here. Had a beautiful pint of Guinness whilst having a little chat with the friendly barman. Then had some lunch in the restaurant. Good portions, well presented, hot, and delicious. Beer battered fish had the best batter I’ve ever tasted as it was light and crispy rather than soggy. Beer garden was spacious, clean and plenty of seating available. Only downfall was the toilets. They were what you would expect after a night out on the town so not particularly clean and smelt of urine. Other than that, brilliant little place which was very friendly and accepting of tourists.
Great tasty food served here. I recommend their Heirloom tomato and mozzarella cheese starter, absolutely delicious and their roast lamb was delicious too. De Bruns are well worth visiting for a special meal.
I'm giving it 4 stars because its usually a great place to visit and their Saturday night DJ is brillant along with the atmosphere. We visited last night for our anniversary but unfortunately it was dead as a doornail...no DJ & very few customers, did I miss something?
DeBruns was a great restaurant with bar attached. Haven't been for a while but it's now a pub serving pub grub. No early bird menu just overpriced pub food, chips with everything. Castleknock could do with a decent restaurant.
