We had travelled down to Walmer and walked into Deal town along the path beside the beach. Lovely walk nice views beautiful town. Lots to see and take in, not the best looking pier, but there is a restaurant at the end of the pier with toilets. The old town of Deal is colourful with its history. Have been a few times now and have enjoyed going here. We had fish and chips from the Blue Mermaid fish bar, very tasty food and reasonable price. There is the new town and the the old town and Deal Castle.
Member of staff asked me to stand behind the yellow line on the platform which was fair enough and I happily co operated but I noticed there was a man standing further down the platform in front of the yellow line but the staff member said nothing to him.
I love Deal. It's a seaside town. Good high street shops. Game arcades, a pier you can walk along and a pebble beach that dogs on a lead can walk along. It has a castle you can visit and another in Walmer.
Deal station is lovely. But they have these horrible high pitched fox/young people deterrents on both platforms that sound terrible. Like warbling tinnitus. I'm 32 and can hear them loud and clear. Please get rid of them!nThoroughly unpleasant to wait for a train.
