They serviced my Nissan and replaced the alternator belt that squealed like mad on start up. They used a non Nissan belt and then tried to charge me for their multiple attempts at adjusting it and trying to prevent it squealing. I ended up taking it to Nissan in the end who put their belt on it and never made a squeal since. Won't go there again.

Having starting problems plus lights on dash going haywire, had similar problems with another car ( earth cable damage) when I took it to Dps I mentioned this but they said they checked everything and couldn't find a fault, cost £30, told me to ring them if fault gets worse and they would come straight out, when I had to ring them they did not turn up on day they said they would, rang again, no apologies just said they would come that day, which they did, hurrah!! , 20min later they found, "Damaged earth lead", cost £40. Will never use this inept company again

Unfortunately, I don't seem to have had the same experience as other reviewers. I took my car in for an intermittent electrical fault and paid for a potential fix. It didn't work but that was fair enough. So I asked to order the replacement part. I had to pay a deposit for the part, which was actually the cost of the part plus the commission David Peel put on top. It took almost 4 weeks for the part to arrive, and I only found this out by having to chase constantly for an update. I was told the part was coming from Germany, but it actually came from Harrogate. And it transpires from the invoice that was very reluctantly shared with me (with prices blacked out) that it hadn't been ordered for 3 of the 4 weeks I waited. Once it arrived, which I found out after yet another phone call, I was told that their Mercedes diagnostic machine wasn't working, so they refitted the old part and told me they'd be in touch when the machine was working. This went on for two months, and meant I spent 4 hours a day on buses, and around £350 versus what would've been £100 in petrol. Adrian took no accountability for the problems with the machine, and was reluctant to hand over my part. There was no indication of when the machine would be fixed, and it was only by my pestering it turned out the machine was actually in Barnsley waiting to be picked up. Another series of calls from me, no update from David Peel, and still the machine wasn't collected despite my taking days off work and my car being booked in. It took me going face to face (yet again) to the garage to be told the truth, when Adrian did admit that the service had been, in his own words "a farce". After having to threaten not to leave the building, I was eventually presented with my part, and the blacked out copy of the invoice from Mercedes in Harrogate. Perhaps it's because I'm an individual (and possibly because I'm female) rather than a business that this was my experience, but it was very upsetting and very frustrating and lasted for way too long. I was naive in believing anything David Peel said, and I have learned my lesson to be more assertive in the face of terrible service. I was lucky enough to find a specialist auto electrician in Elland, and my car was back on the road within a week. I very much regret the trust I put in David Peel, and I would not recommend them to anyone.
