Been coming here for over 5 years & it's consistently good on all fronts, layout, equipment, diversity, cleanliness & the staff qualities always been fantastic... Sure there's been times when things breakdown or arent available (like water fountains, swimming pool etc) but overall it's decent & things work way more than they don't, which considering their constant use isn't bad going. More recently, after a some refurbishment work to a number of areas within the club there's been some great additions/improvements to the facilities. The gym itself has some state of the art stuff, plenty of weights, cardio & resistance kit to use along with a couple decent sized studios where the classes take place & when free you can use as you like really. I've check almost all the gyms in Swindon out & a few out of town & can honestly say this place has one of the best changing areas, certainly the best I've seen in Swindon. Albeit a little tired now, so would expect this might be next thing they refurbish. The food area is great & definitely better since the last redesign. The kids area is decent & since upgraded to a softplay area with slide, some games & some fixed tablets with restricted age appropriate games, it keeps many children busy whilst their parent/guardians chill nearby with some food, coffee or just good company with friends. There's a quiet/adult zone, too which many people use as a second office of sorts. Especially good since it's refurbishment a couple years ago, because now there's a couple proper workstations along with a number of other seating arrangements easy for laptop work & a relaxed work atmosphere for people who can work remotely. Some people use the space for small meetings with colleagues or clients alike. I've used it's over the years for a queit spot away from the mainstream to get work done. Aside from kids classes like tennis, swimming etc, I know first hand that if your child is added as a member (small monthly fee), you can utilise their crèche on specific days for additional hourly cost & as they get past 5 years old, there's a kids club. Our boy was coming here from as young as they'd take him so my other half could get a bit of fitness in on week days & I'd utilise it on the weekends to either work out or catch up with work.

Can be quieter than other gyms. 2016 saw a big investment into the gym (various parts - equipment/refresh of facilities). New management have pulled the club back, one point I was debating leaving but through investment in the actual gym I decided to stay. As for price wise it is expensive, I decided to pay the premium cause it makes me go. I see the large sum leave my bank and know to get value for money I need to go a certain number of times. I do think they are not fully 5 star worthy yet though close but may need to do small improvements.

After a newly refurbished weights sections I'd happily give this gym four stars. It's a clean, well kept gym, with really good staff, and a wide range of facilities and classes. It's on the pricier side, and isn't getting cheaper, it also doesn't have squash courts, which is a shame as that's the only racket sport I play, but then it is a tennis club really.
