Recently joined and so far so good. It’s been a great experience from the get go. We were shown around and signed up with the lovely Katie. Who couldn’t be more friendly and helpful the gym facilities are fab, all high end and kept immaculate. Great range of classes too, which is great for beginners like me, so you can get to know what you like/ dislike. Pool facility’s are lovely. My teenage daughter and I joined the club this month and we absolutely love it. There is a lot of equipment, the swimming pool is great you can use the heated one outside. The place is amazing, very clean and a great atmosphere. The staff is very nice and helpful, especially Andy Dixon, who showed us and explained everything and was always helpful when I had questions. My daughter loves staying there and I, well - a little luxury every day won't hurt : I highly recommend this club.
Yesterday, I visited the gym and was pleased with what I found. As a member in London, I found the gym to be clean, spacious, and well-equipped with many machines. The reception staff, both the man and the woman, were very helpful and the overall environment was tidy. Even though it was just for one day, I really enjoyed my workout there.
I've been a member of this gym for quite some time now, and I've recently witnessed some fantastic improvements. The gym has expanded its space, added new equipment, and introduced brand new training rooms. One of the highlights for me has been the revamped pool area. It's simply outstanding. The water is always pristine, and the environment is so relaxing. What truly impresses me, though, is the abundance of space here. Whether you're looking to work out, unwind, engage in physical activities, or have fun with your kids, there's room for everyone. I can't emphasize enough how great this place is for people of all ages. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere is motivating. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a versatile and enjoyable fitness experience. It's definitely worth checking out!
For the gym lovers the club is lovely big and clean what else you can ask for. The most important though is the staff. Extremely friendly with a smile on the face all the time. Katie is just lovely. From day one she was helpful and ready to answer my thousand questions. 6 starts..
I have just joined David Lloyd at Port Solent. Fantastic facilities and great vibe. The fact that I can also use the Oxford one where I work is brilliant. Andy Dixon who showed me round was incredibly helpful and answered all my questions. Not at all pressured but walked me through the process including setting up the app and booking the free PT sessions. Loving my first week of membership - would recommend having a chat with the lovely Andy if you are interested.
My teenage son and I have recently joined David Lloyd Port Solent. Initially we met with Megan who was so helpful and informative. Megan has responded really quickly to any queries and is always a friendly face around the club. My membership came with 3 kick start sessions. Megan suggested a few members of the team who would be ideally suited to my needs and she was spot on. I have been working with Holland who is so lovely. Holland has given me the confidence to use gym machines I would never have dreamed of and she has the perfect balance of providing challenge just within my capabilities. I would highly recommend Holland, especially if you are not feeling gym confident. Initially I thought the monthly fee was much higher than I had been paying elsewhere. However, after a month at David Lloyd I am so pleased I took the plunge, it really is worth it. It really is making such a difference. There are so many classes, I have never had a problem accessing equipment and it is such a nice friendly space. The pool is brilliant. I love the way David Lloyd is accessible to anyone but I particularly love the thought that has gone into making fitness accessible to young teens. My 13 year old is loving the gym and feels comfortable to use it where he wouldn't have even entertained the idea at some other places. I really am so glad we joined. Well done to all of the Port Solent team.
Finally, we've found a gym we love going to. Megan was so helpful when joining. What stood out was how un-pushy she was. She followed up when she said she would and was always on hand to answer any questions. The gym is well equipped, very clean important to me and I love being able to work from the Workstation.
We walked in yesterday to discuss memberships and Leon was so accommodating. He gave us a whole tour, sat and explained the prices and inclusions really clearly and made us feel really comfortable. Would 100% recommend David Lloyd for people of any age and fitness level!
Recently joined David Lloyd at Port Solent, with a membership for myself, my wife and son after having a tour by Megan Atkins who was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable without being at all pushy. It has some great classes, the gym is well equipped and hasn't been crowded whenever I have visited. The indoor and outdoor pools offer a great alternative exercise as well. I travel quite a bit for work and like the fact I can use other locations as part of my membership. All the staff I have met and talked to have been extremely friendly and helpful. I find the app a little clunky, especially creating custom training plans, but it's in no way unusable. As part of the membership we each had three free PT sessions to get us up and running. I had mine with Sarah Butterworth, who was brilliant! Sarah walked me through the Bio Age tests, the mobile app and guided me round the gym equipment before creating a custom workout plan taking into account my goals and issues I have with an old shoulder injury before running through the plan with me - thank-you Sarah.
