We had several small jobs that needed fixing from changing a sink plug to replacing a toilet seat and kitchen taps and an overflowing toilet. Dave came out quickly and gave us a quote and completed the work in a timely manner. Work was carried out to a high standard and I am delighted with it all. Would definitely use Dave again.

I emailed Dave to fix a leaking shower pipe, tighten a bathroom tap and change a kitchen tap. He called to discuss further what needed doing and I sent him a photo to show the pipe fittings. A date was fixed and all of the jobs were completed really quickly, efficiently and at a great price. So pleased not to have to empty buckets anymore.... Just wish I'd called him earlier!

It is paramount to find the right Tradesman when one encounters plumbing issues and emergencies. I can always rely on David Bates to help. Mr Bates has a professional approach , is courteous and always punctual. He is never fazed by any problem we have been faced with .He is reliable with remarkable attention to detail. I have recommended his services to friends and family and will continue to do so . People with his knowledge and expertise are hard to come by.

Dave was so kind to my very elderly mum, rearranging his schedule to help her at very short notice and explaining to her that what she was asking for was not necessary, and that there was a much cheaper option. Very kind and very competant tradesman..... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

A few months ago, I needed a reliable plumber to change our toilet cisterns from press button to lever to suit our arthritic hands. I noticed Dave's advertisment in the local observer newspaper and he came and changed the cistern in the cloakroom toilet as requested. After the work was completed, I was a little concerned because there seemed to be movement of the water in the toilet bowl but I needed to ask Dave to return to also change the cistern in the upstairs toilet. When he came the second time, I mentioned my concern at the movement of water in the toilet bowl but he did not think this was a problem and kindly changed the second cisern as requested. When, some weeks later I received my water bill from Severn Trent my monthly payment had more than tripled and when I checked the water consumption had more than tripled and the increase dated from about the time the first cistern was changed. My partner told be that she could hear that the cistern was leaking (I have a hearing impairment and was unable to hear myself). I contacted Dave by telephone and explained that I seemed to be wasting a lot of water. It was a Friday afternoon but he said he was very busy and if he was able to call it would be "a flying visit" and he may have to call the following week. He did not call and I telephoned Severn Trent and they recommended another plumber who came after a few days and said he had solved my water loss by making an adjustment to the ball valve in the cistern which would have been a simple job for a plumber. The time it has taken to rectify the problem has cost me about £300 in extra water charges. I did not find Dave's attitude to my problem satisfactory and I would suggest that anyone needing a plumber would be better using a validated plumber from Severn Trent website.
