A truly beautiful holiday park with plenty of well-kept amenities. We believe it's a much better destination than Center Parcs. There's plenty to do at the park for all ages & is set in a great place for sightseeing for both families & couples alike. Nearby activities: Loads to see & do in the area
A fab place not far too travel from my home. Great for relaxing especially with all the facilities. In my lodge was a bath spa a sauna and a shower. Not used the gym or spa or the beauty treatments although if I had more nights here I would have done. Great location for places to see in area.Rooms: 5/5
What a wonderful place. Visited as a family along with our dog. We all felt immediately relaxed there amongst the trees. There are a lots of walks that vary in length with activities for the kids to do along the way. There is a small swimming pool on site, a lovely restaurant/bar, a small shop with all the essentials and more, and a play park for the wee one right next to the restaurant. We didn't book any activities but there were lots of those to choose from too. The lodge was very clean and had lots of space. The kitchen was fully equipped with a proper sized fridge and freezer. The hot tub was a lovely touch. We used it every day. We all absolutely loved it and will definitely be back!
Stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. A very professional set up. Everyone involved are friendly and helpful. Everything was very efficient on arrival and staff couldn't do enough for you. The park is beautifully kept, lodges nicely spaced with car parking alongside. The lodge was extremely clean an comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. We had a hot tub and sauna which was extra nice. The park facilities are excellent, although we didn't use the spa or pool. We had a meal in the on site restaurant which was reasonably priced and generous portions. Good varied menu and we highly recommend eating there. There is also a children's play area outside and an indoor children's entertainment area. They also have a very well stocked shop, dog/bike washing facilities and varied woodland walks nearby.
Great lodges of varying sizes available. The whole site is well maintained and has a cafe, restaurant and a bar. Lots of forest paths for walks/runs. It has an indoor swimming pool, gym, sauna and a steam room. Excellent place for family breaks with some of the lodges big enough for extended families.
Had a great stay at Darwin Forest - accommodation was very clean and well appointed. Hot tub was a big hit! All the staff were very helpful and courteous and the on-site facilities were excellent. Food at The Forresters was good too. Not the cheapest option to stay in the area but we enjoyed our stay and likely to return again at some point
Lovely place to stay in an excellent area - so many exceptional days out round here including Chatsworth, Heights of Abraham, Longshaw, Ilam, the Monsal trail, and the outstanding Crich Tram Museum. We had a lot of fun on site at family splash. The pool was busy but great atmosphere. Very relaxing and quiet at night. Restful. Wi-Fi brilliant too, good streaming set up for TV.
If I’m paying £450 for three nights, I don’t expect to have to pay £7 for the children to play in the soft play area unbelievable. Also, when you spend £23 on a rump steak, I would like to be asked how I want it cooked not just brought to my table already cookedRooms: 5/5
Fantastic lodges, paid extra for the hot tub but it's worth it. Plenty of things to see and do in the area, we went to Bakewell, Buxton, Mam Tor, Castleton and Chatsworth House. Only frustration was the very slow service on the onsite restaurant, about 15 mins for a replacement bottle of water, and a long wait for the bill. It wasn't busy either. Staff across the whole site were very friendly, we'll be back!
Very peaceful, great walks, was able to take my 2 dogs and knew they're were safe due to a gate. Multiple On-site play dens for kids up to 16 years old, activities for elderly as you can see Cross bow/archery was a good laugh. Swimming pool lovely and warm. Average gym. Massages ‍
