Lovely food, friendly atmosphere. Will definitely be back to try other dishes. Well went back, down a star too! Food was fab but they were too quick in coming to take our plates, felt rushed so we left and came to Calico Lounge in Chorley
Lovely new menu, food very tasty. Some decor has been updated. Unfortunately the service is poor, lots of staff but only 1 really working. We spent almost £300 but wasn't asked how the meal was, one meal burnt and 2 meals came after most had eaten. Main meals are small potions, tapas better value for money. Toilets not clean, tap still loose, lacks attention to detail for prices charged.
Great place and lovely staff. The food was fantastic and large portions. The home made pizza bread was one of the best I have ever tasted. They also have varied theme evenings, with food price specials. Also live music nights. I've known the Halfway House for over 30 years. I've been away for a few, and a pleasant surprise to return and find it as good as ever. !!
Had our car club Xmas meal here and it was lovely. Had fabulous service from the moment we sat down, the food was good and excellent value for money. The highlight at this place is Marks cocktails they are the best I would encourage anyone to try them!! Thank you team keep up the excellent work
The service was terrible, no information about how to order, even though there was a guy on reception!!!!!! Would be nice to be greeted, “how are you” “the menu is on the bar and you order at the bar” no condiments! Unless you ask, meal was not good, meatballs in sauce!!! Not really any sauce on the pasta!! My view is if you can’t do it properly why bother!! Will not be back.
First time I have visited 26/9/22. I was very surprised how big it is inside. Also a nice drinks garden at the back. Had a meal at a private function for about 50 people. Service was very good, enjoyed the food and the bar staff were very good.
Was around 10 years ago since I last went here for food and back then it was quite an upmarket place. More of a drinking pub vibe now rather than a restaurant feel about the place. Very basic food not somewhere I would go back to eat. Bit of a a shame as its nice inside and has potential.
Great food, good value, helpful staff.
Festive menu was taken off earlier in day, apparently ran out of food, management hadn't even put it on booking and not even an apology or a phone call, only good thing was the younger staff were the helpful one's and then all of management were drinking at the bar apart from one, will not be returning myself.
Massive disappointment, I have been many times over the years and this place has hit an all time low, we ordered basic meals and still had to be sent back, the cook could not even prepare garlic bread… such a shame for a once thriving restaurant
