We tried the breakfast menu for the first time & our experience was actually really good. The restaurant was reasonably quiet. Our server was polite, happy & helpful. From ordering to arrival our food came pretty quickly & was well presented. Everything was perfectly cooked & tasted great!
Not been here for around 12 years as I had a bad experience with the take away, but I must say this was an amazing meal, sat in for my daughters birthday and ate like a king , portions were fantastic size and the food was tasty. There was 6 of us and all our meals and drinks were spot on , I will definitely be coming back as a regular. Worth spending your hard earn cash on
Charlie P our server was brilliant, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The food was tasty but typically I wouldn't say healthy. Lots of deals including kids eat free, happy hour etc etc. We enjoyed it but it was busy. Vegetarian options: I had a veggie burger which was tasty but the wasn't really much choice for a vegetarian
Overpriced for bbq in my opinion. Between us we had pork loin, bbq ribs, twice baked potato, truffle fries, squid rings, crispy prawns. Food was tasty so we enjoyed our meal but was not amazing for that price. Having lived in USA for over a decade, maybe my points of reference are different so the ribs were the let down really; they were cooked very well, nice and tender but Sweet Baby Rays sauce would be way better than whatever is on these.
Delicious food! Haven't beennin years so thought I'd give it a try, so tasty. Got a phone call as I was eating, had to go pick my poorly son up from school, staff were brill, got me the bill and bagged up the food I hadn't managed to eat yet!
Visited for lunch. I ordered the Mexican Burger and my wife the Cod Fish and Chips. If you don't want to read the whole review I will sum it up in one word. "Mehh" First mine... The Mexican Burger The burger was ok if a little underseasoned, bacon burnt which didn't help with the flavour. Surprisingly it came served on a cheap toasted bap which was dry. All in all it was edible but its a long way from gaining another star. The Wife's.... Cod fish and Chips Portion size was good for a regular.. Once again a little overcooked and greasy with underseasoned batter. I've left Chips to last. My word they are either frozen or the oil is on its last legs. We paid extra for the truffle Chips and Parmesan.... my advice is don't bother. Ordered 1 water 1 Amstel 1 fish and chips 1 Burger Total bill £39.15 What do i think it was worth.... About £20. Pretty much inline with a Wetherspoons meal. It's not terrible but not great either. 2.5 Stars for me. Give it a try though as they might just have been having a bad day.
Devastating and disappointed, gammon was like a bacon rasher, onion loaf tasted of undercooked flour, chicken was very thin, service was dreadful, food came out resting in another plate of food so all plates underneath were dirty, complained to waitress who said sorry you should have spoke to manager, and couldn't care less. Never going again.
The restaurant was overstretched / overbooked for a busy valentines night so there was a significant delay in the table booking - around an hour. That said - the staff were pleasant and the food was good. A round of drinks was thrown in as an apology without this being asked for so overall a good experience and a shame about the delay.Recommended dishesColeslaw, BBQ Ribs, Onion Rings
A really nice place to eat. The building is round and they have a bar area in the middle of the building, separating two restaurants, so while you are waiting for your table to be ready, you can just have a drink. They have a good selection of dishes and everything was amazing.
Been a regular here for over a decade and recently visited Lincoln to go to Damons as its has always been a family favourite. Not any more! They don't serve the warm bread anymore, not even an option to purchase with your meal, the coleslaw was bland compared to previous years and the portion was practically half the size. The service was excellent, very friendly and she also agreed that Damons has gone downhill. The only thing I'd recommend is the strawberry and cream cocktail half price during happy hour too ... was amazing! Wheelchair accessibility: Easy wheelchair access throughout.
