This school has declined in standards since the new Headteacher took charge. Unfortunately bullying is rife in all year groups, and a number of serious incidents have occurred which should have been reported to the police, but haven’t been, putting students at risk. Local children experience the worst bullying, as they do not appear to be valued by the school, having gained entry on the basis of the location criteria. One has to speculate that this is a deliberate ploy to encourage the students to move on to other schools before sitting their GCSE’s, what other reason can there be for allowing known bullies to continue threatening the other pupils? The school appears to be so desperate to keep its ‘outstanding’ ofsted grade it is allowing badly behaved pupil premium children to bully other pupils indiscriminately, making excuse after excuse not to punish known and repeat perpetrators. It would appear that ‘normal’ kids are no longer valued by Ofsted so therefore Dame Alice Owens does not value them either, it’s okay for them to be discrimated against, threatened and abused on a daily basis, so long as the bully is not upset. Every excuse in the book is made for the bullies in this school if they fall into a category that Ofsted values, all others don’t count.

Hmmm I really must pop in some time. I never went here but I and my brother went to Owens in the 1950s when it was still situated at the Angel Islington and was a voluntary assisted grammar school and my mother went to the girl's school in the 1920s having won a scholarship to what was then a fee paying school.
