I loved being able to visit this little old church! Beautiful and welcoming! Some of the gravestones were dated in the 1700's!

Well worth a visit. Some very old headstones and some ornate stonework. A nice spot to sit in the sun.

Nice old church with an interesting graveyard.

I'm not in support in some of the teachings of the Church of Scotland today but this is a lovely bunch of people and a beautiful church well worth visit. Cafe on Fridays really nice 10-12.

Graveyards at churches are another good resource to discover family history and build on your family tree. However they are also a great place to discover local history because older stones could tell you information about the family lost to history. Not just their employment but where they lived locally. Some of their children may have gone abroad and died there. So when someone disappears from the national all archives its can be a church yard that tells you why. Also if you are fascinated with masonry some spectacular headstones can be found telling another kind of story. This graveyard is oozing history and untapped knowledge.
