We serve homemade food from breakfast, roast dinners, homemade pies, toasties, paninis, sandwiches, homemade soup, homemade desserts and a lot more!We always aim to give a fantastic and friendly service and we will always try accommodate any special requests. We are open 7 days a week from 8am, closing times vary but it is usually between 3pm and 4pm. Please call or email us for any enquiries."

We were recommended this restaurant by a passing local. The recommendation was well met and the cafe/grill definitely delivered. The menu here is extensive, unlike other restaurants that try to do a wide range and fail to do anything well, this establishment succeeds in producing well made food in all items. The portions are not for the faint hearted, each meal came out hot, fresh and well presented. The staff are incredibly friendly and really go the extra mile. No request was met with the all too common "that isn't part of the script" but met with a smile and happy fulfilment. The deserts are huge and also freshly made with good ingredients. Particularly the triple chocolate fudge sundae which was epic! Great gluten free options and also dog friendly which is a massive plus!! This restaurant represents excellent service and amazing value for money. Booking is advisable as it can be busy. Kid-friendliness: Great for kids and families. Dietary restrictions: Fantastic gluten free menu!
This was a lovely cafe to dine in at with my family, having an old cottage style that includes decorations on the walls! I enjoyed a Haddock and Prawn dish with leak, carrots and peas, situated comfortably at a table after we were seen to one upon entry. A drink of Spiced Rum with Coke helped refresh me and the staff were friendly, also cleanliness had been maintained! Vegetarian options: alternative lasagne available
There was a queue to get in this lunchtime which is usually a good sign many of the diners were regulars the menu is varied something for everyone all homemade food we had shepherds pie with three vegetables and one of the specials steak and onion pie good portion juicy pieces of steak nice pastry homemade rice pudding with double cream and treacle sponge absolutely beautiful very friendly staff highly recommended
We visited for the first time today. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. All 4 of us enjoyed our food. Definitely the best roast potatoes I've ever tasted. Excellent value for money too. Kid-friendliness: Our 3 year old was welcomed and catered for no problem.
Poor quality. Made to wait ages. Definitely style over substance. In my opinion avoid and head for one of the more professional places dotted around this wonderful town.
The best eating establishment that we have been to, fantastic food homemade, and it definitely tastes superb. Staff is very friendly and helpful and smiling all the time. Very busy, not at all surprised. Well, it's worth waiting to get in. You can book a table, and l will be sure to do that the next time we are looking for somewhere to eat. The price of each dish was low compared to a lot of other establishments, the standard of food was way above most other establishments. I'd give it 5 stars every day. Been here a good few times, for both solo meals & with others - food portions are really fair for the price & the food is good. The breakfasts are particularly good. The staff are really polite & helpful. 100% recommend.
Visited Skipton for the day, this place highly recommended by the locals. Place was clean. Service was ok. Coffee was nice. Exceptionally expensive and unimaginative for vegetarians. I felt like they didn't really want my custom. My daughter had the large breakfast which was only £2 more than the veggie option and she said it was ok. I didn't see anything suitable for vegans apart from drinks. Don't think I'd try here again.
This is the first time I've been here and it won't be the last. From going through the door to leaving, the staff were all very attentive and very pleasant. My daughter and I found a table with the guidance of a waitress and were promptly given menus. Not long after that a waitress asked if we were ready to order,which we were. My Daughter had a toastie,side salad and chips,i had haddock,new potatoes and garden peas and we both had tea. The service was the quickest ive ever witnessed and done with a happy very pleasant waitress which added to the enjoyment of a very pleasant lunch. I have to say that my experience here at the Dales cottage was one of the best I've experienced in awhile. I know ill be re visiting here again All in all a reasonably priced happy experience. Many thanks to the staff and your excellent customer service. I may make this my favourite eating place.
Once again a 1st class meal for two, with a take of sweets unable to eat them, the mains we're so filling. Had them later in the evening they were both extremely good. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. We WILL go again to Skipton if its only to feast at this cafe.
