Dagenham Heathway Station is a very busy station during the evening rush hour. There are only 4 ticket barriers and when you have over 60 passengers trying to use them / get out the station it can take a while as the queue builds up. Outside the station is very busy loads of people waiting around. Not a great station on the district line.
The toilets are only open between 5am and 3pm Monday to Friday which is ridiculous. Children and elderly struggle to hold their bladder and bowels. No one can defy the call if nature. This is not customer focused and should be addressed quickly.
This station is fine, the negative reviews are bizarre. There is step-free access to the platform, which is great for people with restrictions on their mobility but also makes for a more pleasant experience as a regular commuter. There are toilets although closed due to vandalism as of October 2022 and a waiting room. Not much else to say really.
It's have over 2 years that they keep toilets closed and never open again. What's wrong with them or they don't have cleaners
