I've used this business a few times before and mostly dealt with a staff member called William, he was helpful and good with advise, but unfortunately I cant say the same about my visit on Wednesday 25th June, I came into the store to price wood for a fence, I came into the store and greeted the guy at the counter with a good morning to which I got no reply, maybe he didn't hear me I thought, another guy appeared and I asked for a quote for timber for a fence, I had measurements wrote on paper but he didn't really take me on and shouted William to come and deal with me, I found both men to be very dismissive of me, its hard enough for a woman to be in a man's environment without having to deal with being brushed off by them, William came out and looked at my drawing and I explained what I wanted, he said you'll have to leave it with me as we are stock taking and delivery won't be too next week, its like no one had the time of day for me, if I'd been a man I wondered would I have been served quicker, so I left it with him and went to my car, but I went back and took a photo of my drawing and decided I'd try Mac Blairs another hardware business not far away, I'd actually had a much nicer experience there compared to DBS,nI'm a customer and should have been dealt with in a professional manner, DBS was disappointing to say the least, very unprofessional approach from the guys at the counter but William did suggest he would ring me later with a price but never did, stock taking before business seems more importantnnVery disappointed in DBS
A pleasant and reasonably priced experience. Pleasant and extremely helpful staff. Great local resource for building materials. Happy customer.
Fantastic building supplies store, been here many times for both major and minor materials, very helpful staff and if they dont have what you need they will get it or point you in the right direction.
Very helpful staff can get you want ever you want I definitely will be back again
