This so called tradesman is a complete rip off.

My 82 year old Mother paid out 2500 for a firebird boiler to be fitted 6 years ago. During that time she had no end of problems with this boiler until it finally broke down over the coldest period of winter weather flooding her garage.

This installer left her without heating for 2 months when temperatures dipped well below zero on most days.

Despite repeated calls from my Mother he never came back to her and left her high and dry. 

In the end we resorted to bringing in a professional plumbing and heating engineer who confirmed our fears . The boiler was incorrectly installed and was never going to last.

1) no auto bypass fitted
2) flu incorrectly fitted
3) wrong fuse !
4) pump incorrectly located.
4) condensate pipe at wrong angle 

Lastly and this is the worse part , he is not registered with Oftec , so the boiler was illegally installed !

What an utter moron/cowboy !

Do not go near this so called plumber with a barge pole......your pocket will regret it if you do !
