I am currently an inpatient on Cygnet ward.It appears to be creating a culture fit for the 21st century consumer. From admission on there are numerous examples of best practice. Despite the complexity and acuity of the ward population,a homely atmosphere is created and maintained.i have not once felt unsafe here. The housekeeping staff are clearly highly motivated to provide the best hotel services they can. They ensure that any request is met promptly and are vital to the functioning of the ward. The food is of an equally high standard which surpasses many a pub menu. Nursing staff are compassionate and kind, even when applying a ? Govt enforced smoking policy .
There's to many bad staff that's just after the money also needs shutting down my opinion. The good staff holding it together dee n jen
I have worked for Cygnet Blackheath for over three years, and can honestly say the level of care offered to service users is amazing. The staff have empathy and go that extra mile for our patients during possibly the most difficult time In there lives. The management support the team well and the training is by far the best and unique to this service. The negative feedbacks are dated, and a shame to tarnish all the hard work we do! Cygnet in my opinion is a great service with the service users being kept in a safe environment, and most importantly the staff do all they can to make each and every person that stays with us, as pleasant as it can be. A+++
This place is and I quote 'cash cows' this is now a rehab centre. Far from it. It is a cash cow farm where your loved ones are kept there to fill beds and line the pockets of the privet health sector. There are no activities on the ward. With regular incidents of violence and patients walking round the corridors due to lack of phycological assistants and OT. There is no therapeutic use to this service just as a holding pens until they have enough for the patient. Then they move them to another one of the Cygnic hospitals The Dr are bias about any for of s17 leave as they will lose their bonuses. If there was a escape. Also about moving patients some on section 3 kept there for over 3 months due to their incompetence and wanting to keep bed filled at £600.00 per patient. This place is worst than a nazi concentration camp..... The staff are discontented as there are not any communication between change over. They are over worked and being asked to take extra work on compromising patience safety and the ward staff.
Filthy disgusting place you will get no help here racist staff no privacy they dehumanise you I have never broken the law in my life but I was in there with murderers and sex offenders should be closed down immediately
Excellent time. The staff were great!
Best hospital for Mental Health
Bad experience
Waste mental hospital
A family member is currently in here. He gave his iPhone to an a male African member of staff. The staff member so called misplaced his phone and now my family's phone is missing. Has been switched off. And the African man responsible for the camera. Refused to look between the right time from 1pm to 230pm. And instead looked at only between 1250 and 1pm.its been reported to the police. Because sensitive info that can be used for crime was also taken with that phone and the hospital don't seem to care. Because patients have no power. My family member has also been left without means of engaging with his family as usual. And it is impacting his mental health recovery and again. The African staff member didn't care went home. And will check cameras again Monday. They don't care about stolen property of mentally ill patients. Edited, family member said one staff member threatened him because of the phone being missing. And it being thought of as stolen. Threatened to show him how different him and my family member are tonight. This is record. Incase anything happens tonight. What professional acts like that. I confirmed with the doctor that the mobile is missing. That no one knows where it has gone. Staff are responsible for charging phones. The phone went missing within an hour of sensitive info being sent to it. Is now turned off after the shift finished yesterday. I last spoke on the mobile to my family member} at 12 51pm for 11 minutes 59 seconds. It was then handed to staff and it went missing.
