It's a beautiful house and gardens. The lake area is beautiful and well kept, there's ducks and geese too. The gardens are well maintained and there's plenty of seats and trestle tables dotted around. It's a great place to chill out on a sunny day. There's a great cafe with seating inside and outside, it has a large menu which includes vegan and gluten free dishes and has a large selection of hot & cold drinks. The gardens are fairly small but there are plenty of public rights of way and the countryside is beautiful. It's around 1 mile walk from Sprotbrough and only 2.5 mile walk from Doncaster.
Free day out with a great play park, with beautiful walks and gardens. We really enjoy the walk to the lake followed by pizzas from a proper pizza oven in the picnic area outside the restaurant. Car park has Ringo app Picnic area: A few different places to eat as you go round the grounds, lot of benches.
I cannot rate this place enough. It is owned by the local council, so free to go in and you only have to pay for parking and that's not expensive. There is a beautiful coffee shop and the gardens and views are wonderful. We used this as one of our pit stops returning from Yorkshire to Suffolk, with our dog. Close to A1 and will definitely visit again when travelling that way. The house is beautiful from outside, we didn't have time to look round inside.
Absolute masterpiece this place. The museum has a big chunk of British history inside, it’s free and the staff is very welcoming. The park is also quite big, well presented, clean and has a few places where you can stop for a cold drink and some food. Take your family on a nice walk and enjoy the surroundings, you won’t regret it. Restrooms: Clean and accessible. Dog-friendliness: Yes, you can take your dogs in the park but just be aware that the place is quite huge, don’t lose them. Picnic area: Plenty of place for picnic in the park, just don’t forget your blankets.
We had a blast at Cusworth Park! The nature trails were stunning, with all the flowers in bloom. But, the ice cream was a bit pricey. Still, the playground was fantastic for the kids. Oh, and there's a tea room, but we didn't try it out. Overall, a lovely day, just be mindful of the high-priced treats! Playground: The playground was fantastic for the kids.
We go here often it's only a short drive from home, beautiful walks, lots of plants & shrubs in the garden,The Butlers Pantry has lovely food, the house is interesting, toilets are a bit scruffy, shame some visitors don't pick up after their dog's, no entrance fee, you just pay to park, £2.60 for 3 hour's.
Great fun for all the family a lovely place to take a walk. Really comes alive in the spring time. The grounds are really well looked after.
This is our local walking spot, with good parking, play park for the kids, very dog friendly. Enjoy a beer and food here too!Highly recommend!
