Bunch of cowboys. Avoid at all costs. In response to your reply, perhaps you can't find any record of my work as your book keeping is as shoddy as your work. I had many email exchanges with Kevin and you did a bodge repair to the awful job you did in the first place. I will upload some photos. You should be ashamed you let the car out the door like that.
Recently bought a cage for a Mini Miglia, everything about it is top notch, laser profiles are nicely finished, really really well packaged, brilliant photo instruction guide. Was ready to collect in three weeks. Brilliant British company, ignore the other reviews. Speaks volumes that some bellend is powder coating a roll cage for a race car.
dealt with them for a cosworth cage, had a few niggles but to be fair they went above and beyond, collected the car, mapped it and made me a wrc replica that was millimetre perfect. I can only say that although things weren't perfect I'd judge a company by how they deal with problems and they were spot on. would definitely deal with them again
Ordered an individual cage for a historic race car. In spite of a binding offer, the price was suddenly around 30% more expensive when the bodyshell was provided. Custom Cages simply abused our time pressure. When we received the cage and painted it, Custom Cages told us that the wrong FIA certification badge had been used and we had to replace it. The suggestions were more than bold, including the technical director's request to stick a foil sticker over the three-dimensional badge. The managing director's hint was: "This is not a Concours component". We are still arguing about the not inconsiderable costs of de-powdering and re-coating. In short: Extremely dubious business practices and amateurish handling. Avoid and do not buy @ Custom Cages #CustomCages Additional comment: The comments are suril. CustomCages cost me 1.200 Euro and a lot of time to fix the error they made with the certification plate. Be also aware that they asked ppl to rate with 5* after my posting. Check the negative ratings from the past and the new “real” postings published the last days to get a better average rating. Happy to share details about product, service and issues. Additional comments: Custom Cages posted some pictures. These pictures are not even from my car or cage. Totally different car but consitent in Custom Cages behaviour.
Service has taken a hit over the years. Higher price tags and bad customer service. I think its time to move on and find suppliers that care a little more.
