I went into store as I the TV I had purchased 2 years ago had broken, but I had taken out the insurance. I checked on the Curry's website which stated I could either return the product to store or arrange for the this to be collected from my home. With me working 8:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Friday, I decided to take the goods back to the store. I went into the store and was pointed in the direct of the care and repair section. I explained the situation and showed some photos of the issue, I then explained that the TV was in my car. The man serving me said it would be best to collect this from my house as it is a much faster process, I explained about my working hours, to which he replied we can collect Saturday bearing in mind it was Monday, so I would have had to wait nearly a week before the broken TV was even collected. He then went on to say if I left it in store it would be 10-14 working days to get it fixed, whereas if I got it collected from home it would be 4 days even though I couldn't get it collected for another 5 days. He then continued to tell me that if the TV had broken on the way to store I would not be covered with the Care & Repair which I am aware of and had even put a duvet in the boot of my car the protect this. He then said the store don't normally take TV's this big 55" as it is only a small store. You could tell he just really didn't want me to leave the TV, as so many excuses were given. Not once was it said that 'oh we are sorry you are having issues'. The only reason this is a 2* is because the guy who helped me carry the TV from the car was helpful, and surprisingly even though I did leave the TV at the store it was collected from them the following day and I was issued a replacement voucher within 4 days as this could not be fixed. Not impressed at all, and next time I probably will arrange collection and delivery to and from home, so I don't have to go through the terrible customer service experience again. I work in customer service myself and couldn't imagine speaking to customer in this way, especially a customer who has an issue or faulty product!
23.06.24 absolutely outstanding service when we went into the store on Sunday to purchase a gaming laptop for my son. The assistant, Brad, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you so much.
Needed new kettle. Off to Currys. So I went for the Bosch black one. A bit more money but a good brand etc. None in boxes. Miss helpful checks stock. More due in but can’t order at the moment. “No problem I’ll take this one”. “Sorry I can’t sell the display model”. “But, there’s not much point in having a display of something you can’t sell?”. She checks with manager on the phone. “No but we’ll have more in eventually.” Hmm. “So when you do get more you can display one of them?….” “No, because opening another one for display costs us more because most people don’t want to buy a display model…… “ “but….I….want to buy……this display model, at full price….” She stares blankly at me. I stare blankly back for a moment. I am wasting my time here. Exited shop and got one from The Range.
I went to store with a faulty TomTom satnav after getting invalid number to call from customer service. I waited 15 minutes at repair & refund counter whilst 2 staff tried to figure out how to swap an item for customer in front of me. Several staff standing around including manager. None seemed prepared to assist.
I bought a tv at Curry's yesterday and was advised on which 1 by a brilliant customer service assistant called Nathan at the pontefract store..both knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy.5 stars young man.Thankyou.
Ok, but delivery and removal of my own fridge added £75 to the bill...however delivery was 2 days only, even on bank hol monday, and was good..extra£25 to only pin it down to morn or afternoons in stead of waitin in all day is takin the P though
What a joke Ordered a phone from car phone warehouse online to be delivered in store, needed it asap Get a text from DPD saying it will be delivered between 10-11 Get another text saying unable to deliver as nobody was at home Rang store up, told me the delivery men don’t come in the front door they try the back door but nobody is around to answer it so they leave and send it back to DPD Re delivery was set for Monday. However if that’s the case does that mean I have to go stand at their back door for them? Had it sent to store as I’m not in at home to wait around for it. Absolute mess, Carphone Warehouse - DPD and Curry’s. Need to sort that out! Cancelled the whole thing won’t be back in store any time soon.
Currys; the shop with more staff than customers. Don't get me wrong, that's not a bad thing, it means there's always people to help if you need it, and they will. At least they're not sacking their workforce like other major brands! The tech is good quality and often a fair price, and their repair plan helped fix my old laptop back to working order, so I keep going back for more! I did find the repair centre a little slow to serve and I almost felt like an unconvinience standing there, despite being a paying customer. Perhaps some of the other staff can be trained to work in that department too. That's my only fault, or they'd get 5 stars.
I went in to see what I could get for my phone in trade in and had the best customer experience. It was the best value across all the places I’d been to which I was quite shocked but brilliant! He was great, efficient and friendly! Unfortunately I didn’t get his name it was on the 29th Jan at around 1:50pm in the phone section! I just want to say he was informative and so polite and great customer service so thank you!
Bought some printer cartridges, over priced for what they are but I needed them for an urgent print job.
