Service was really shocking. On Saturday the store was practically empty of customers but with lots of staff and yet when I asked for help from someone standing around they said they couldn’t help me because he wasn’t on phones today and the one guy who was doing phones that day was busy. I eventually found someone who could help me and answered my simple questions about their stock. I said I would be back the next day to place the order. When I arrived the next day I had to wait around again for 20 minutes but eventually got service. Things seemed to be looking up because although it took long, the phone got ordered and I was told it was arriving on Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around and at 6pm I haven’t heard anything, so I went to the store to see if they had just forgot to contact me. Get there and they tell me it didn’t arrive because the order was placed after the deadline on Sunday and so it will only arrive on Thursday. Then on Wednesday evening I get a call from the manager saying that the order was actually never placed in the first place and so they will order it now and it will arrive on Saturday. I now just went to the store Saturday to see if the phone had arrived and they seemed like I’d inconvenienced them because I had come “early” on Saturday and I should come later in the afternoon for orders. I had prearranged plans today which have now been disrupted and I still don’t have a phone a week later!
Hardly any staff available to assist and to the point when we found one, we were told we could be waiting 10-20mins before someone was available. Fortunately a member of staff came to find us within that time frame and we showed them the machine we wanted to purchase to take away. It wasn't in stick but could be delivered in about 3 weeks. We showed them another two machines but had the same response so we left with no washing machine ours having broken last week. Tried looking on other Currys locations nearby or online for the models we were interested in and no stock, delivery expected 2-3 weeks. Have since gone elsewhere online and it's due to be delivered tomorrow. All this said, the member of staff who tried to help was friendly and apologetic but didn't offer to check stocks in other nearby stores to save us doing so later.
Service was good, we were greeted quite quickly, but this then turned sour with the lady making comments like "it's alright if you have money". She was rude, and lied about certain products, safe to say we walked out without doing business here and went somewhere else.
I really appreciate retailers like this around. You can go in, see and feel the devices you want to buy. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff as well.
Went in for a Chromecast with Google TV, they only had the HD version but that turns out to the one I would have got anyway is half the price of the 4k and a fun thing for me rather than a serious toy. Was boxing day and there were a lot of staff vs. customers, also the TV section was a bit run down quite a few turned off and missing TVs in the lineup.
if i could give negative 80 i would!!! i ordered my item online for next day pick up from the store. it never arrived and when i contacted currys they told me there was an unexpected issue and i just need to wait for a email with tracking number in 48hrs and be patient. they couldnt tell me what the issue was or where the product was and to just be patient and wait. i cancelled got my refund and ordered it from argos and picked it up immediately with no issue!! will never buy from currys every!!!!! again!!!!!!!!
I went to buy a keyboard replacement. Okay Currys have a selection. I knew exactly what I wanted. But like most of us I wanted to actually feel the keyboard and make sure that it had all right buttons and the right feel. Sadly all the keyboards I wanted to look at are in boxes and I was told by the assistant that they were not allowed to put the keyboards that are in the boxes on the display. The upshot of this of course is I would have to take them home then decide whether I like them then take them back. And of course at that point they would be opened now the box. A waste of my time and a contradiction of their policy not to put all their keyboards out on display. I gave up. Currys didn't get the sale. Amazon did. One more thing, the only information that the assistant gave me was about how short of staff they were and how they didn't actually know anything about the products I wanted to buy. Who wants to work in a store where you can't sell anything? :-
Poor service, not enough floor staff. Excuses made.... and yet staff sat at computers. Instead of dealing with the customers in the shop. Left waiting for over 20 minutes and then told they had no stock. Clueless......
I went on Friday to buy my new phone, I have been promptly helped by one of the gentlemen that were at the entrance.The whole experience went smoothly in around 10 minutes.
Bought a hoover on reduced to clear. £100. Got to the till was 52.00. Bargain. Staff was OK. No pushy selling.
