DO NOT BUY FROM CURRYS THEY DONT CARE WHEN IT GOES WRONG!!! Purchased a fridge freezer from Basingstoke store, was delivered today damaged which was only noticed 1 or 2 minutes after the delivery driver left with our old fridge freezer. I called immediately and got a voice message saying I had to take the product and the receipt to store this is a american style. Went to store who told me they could not do anything until tomorrow when it had progressed on the system computer said no and I have to go back tomorrow. Was told that mine is out of stock but could find a similar which I did at an additional cost to myself of £130, then to be told it wont be delivered until next Sat leaving me for a week without a fridge freezer in 28 degree heat. I then requested a refund and was told they could not do that until they had collected the old one which again was next sat meaning I would not get my money back in my account for 2 weeks so can not buy a replacement from another provider. I cant use the one that is damaged as the store has informed me it my be dangerous. I have called customer service and was passed to 5 separate people all which insinuated it was my fault only to be told that I had to wait until tomorrow as they can't do anything. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no one is available and that you have to book an appointment with the earliest being Tuesday 3 days time. I would avoid buying from them as they have no after care or policies in place when something goes wrong and leave you with no other option but to wait for them. I will be making a complaint to trading standards once they open.
We recently went to Currys and was served by Larissa and her manager Suma. We were able to have an item we wanted price matched & due to what we bought were given lots of freebies. The service was excellent and we would shop here again. Thank you.
I popped an iron for repair over 2 weeks now as it was covered by the warrenty and care plan, there has been no communication what so ever, after they said they will keep me in the loop. As after one week the iron was meant to either fixed or written off, and there has been no communication with the store or the company. When calling the help limes no one was able to help me they however did transfer me a shocking 6 times and no one was able to give me an update. On the bright side the staff in store are okay they trying to help as much as they can however the company is shocking lack of communication or over the phone. Best advise go in if possible
We were there to buy a new oven, we ended up ordering it online while we were in the store, no-one ask if we needed help with anything. The customer service, well there was none, it was very poor, staff were not interested in us at all. Being a store with expert advice in my opinion extremely bad experience.
Order online and save yourself the hassle. Whilst looking at laptops I was approached by a man doing a survey for Curry's. He explained he didn't work for Curry's, but I wish he did, because he was the only person in the building remotely interested in dealing with customers. I was waved away the first time I approached the counter and directed to James, the manager, and was told someone would be with me in a moment, but they were busy putting up a sign. 20 minutes later I approached the sales counter, and was then directed towards James, no recognition that he had already spoken to me, and again said someone will be there in a moment. One worker walked past glued to his phone an ignored me. Eventually Harris came to help me. He could not have been more polite and helpful, and dragged this from a 1 star review. We ultimately ordered a laptop on his iPad to be delivered to tomorrow. I could have done this myself and saved close to an hour of my time. As others have said, this store is a waste of time and space, just order online and cut them out. NB. Harris was the only decent thing about it
Popped in to buy a Samsung smart watch. The one I wanted was in stock at a discounted price and the chap serving the sale was affable and friendly. All good!
Bishesh helped us get our TV and he was very patient and very helpful. We really appreciated all his help. It was a great experience shopping at Currys.
Utterly appalling customer service. Not for the 1st time my mother went there to buy an appliance to find unhelpful lazy staff with very limited knowledge. Also very poor stock levels. An absolute disgrace that has not improved in the last 18months
Picking up some equipment and was completing the arrival form online when I was told it was down. However, the say was saved by a staff member who completed it on the store system without any fuss. Not a good look for a tech company but fully made up for by very helpful staff
I was rail-roaded, forced into buying a printer that wasn't suitable for me. It can only be used through Wi-fi, and I don't have WiFi, although this wasn't explained to me by the salesman. Obviously desperate to obtain his commission. I only wanted a copier. Upon returning to the store to explain, the 'expert' Chris, said that unless it was faulty, nothing could be done. How he could be certain while taking the amount of pills that he did, as witnessed by my wife, is beyond me.This unfeeling, unsympathetic ethos was reinforced by James, the 'manager'. He wouldn't entertain the possibility that we had been mislead, in fact, he implied that it was our fault. He said that unless it was in the original, sealed packaging, we didn't have a prayer. How would we know WITHOUT removing the packaging ? Totally, absolutely uncaring, and oblivious to our problem. We only wanted a plain, ordinary copier, and this jack-the-lad salesman preyed on our lack of knowledge. Update: After many, many telephone calls to head office, and having to wait 216 hours, we FINALLY got the copier we originally tried to buy. This was accomplished by the store manager, Saj and his assistant, Priscilla. It must be said that throughout the Currys empire, these are the only two who addressed our problem, and solved it. The 'stand-in' manager, James, needs to be sacked immediately.
