My husband and I were served by a wonderful young Lady called Georgina, she was polite, knowledgeable, funny and smiled throughout, nothing was too much trouble, amazing customer service. We bought a dryer and an air fryer both of which Georgina knew about and was able to guide us. Although from Yorkshire we have lived in London for 35years. Recently relocated to Sandal we needed to replenish certain items. Georgina was a joy to make our purchases with, her customer service was second to none, def not what we are used to in the South! I sincerely hope the management have some kind on monetary incentive bonus system in place and she is appropriately rewarded.
Professional help and priced at competitive prices
Large spacious store with good range of products under one roof. Very clear and tidy and we'll layed out. Staff friendly too and easy parking outside. Would recommend as no issues.
Bought a new TV. 98 inch but had a bad experience with buying a tv bracket for it. They sell these 98 inch tvs but don't sell a bracket to fit it. Sold us 1 but we had to drive to Parkgate to pick this bracket up. Got bk home to find out the bracket doesn't fit so had to go bk again to get a refund and find out it was a misprint on their website. Apart from that the customer service was excellent. They did their best to help us try finding a bracket.
They use dsg specific product codes to confuse people. Not sure if this is to avoid price matches or make price comparison with other retailers tough but be careful. The codes they use often seem to be those of a higher spec model with D at the end so with internet comparisons they will initially appear to be cheaper, but the reality is you get a much lower spec product for similar money
I went to this store to but a hoover chose one then the assistant said sorry not in stock, said will take the one on display, she said sorry cannot sell that one, left very disappointed, but will return for other items as they are reliable
Decent availability and staff don't pester you. Girl who served us had, how can I describe this diplomatically, a bit of a personal hygiene issue.
I was really really happy with the service in the shop. The staff were really helpful and not pushy at all. The person who served me was very patient with me, explaining how my item was a popular item. I did buy the item with delivery and removal. I was offered next day delivery but I declined as I had to manage the space it was going into. The negative thing about Currys is their customer service. I wanted to query my delivery time the day before it was to arrive after being on the phone for over thirty minutes I gave up. I had not been able to speak to a real person just being told to press different numbers to go to different places and type in what I needed to know to an automated chat line not a real person. In the end I was getting really stressed so I put the phone down. Customer service needs to take a leaf out of the shop staff and provide the customer "service" .
Good selection of electric and electronics items. Helpful staff too.
Took a laptop to be recycled, the man appeared none too bothered as he took it, accepted the cable and powerpack but refused the case, no offer of the £5 for the exchange and I would not have taken it. I think it would have been better taking it elsewhere and hoping someone could use it. I have very little faith in recycling in this country.
