We went yesterday to meet some friends. The service was absolutely superb! Unbeatable anywhere..... Karen, the chefs and the rest of the team were friendly, professional and very helpful! Our steaks were cooked perfectly and are unbelievable value for money. We are already looking forward to our next visit despite living 40 minutes drive away! Highly recommend you visit! Thanks to all the team!!
We went to Marmalade Pot on a Saturday afternoon and it was not busy. We ordered a chicken burger with chips, grilled chicken and chips with vegetables, children's chicken nuggets, chips and peas with child's icecream as part of the children's menu meal. My partner enjoyed her chicken burger and I also enjoyed the grilled chicken but I have to say the portion size was quite small for the grilled chicken dish but decent prices so can't complain to much. Staff where friendly and table was clean on arrival. Would go back again at some point.
I normally don't give bad reviews but it was pretty awful. We ordered sirloin steak but half way through waiting for the order we were told there was only the cheaper steak, which was 100% absolutely fine but they didn't offer us the money back for the more expensive steak we'd ordered. When the meals did arrived the sauce was seriously disgusting, so I asked for a different one that didn't turn up until we were literally just about to finish our meal. The salad on the other dishes were all brown and wilted, you can see from the photo. We won't be back in afraid...Gutted.
By chance found this lovely pub the staff were brilliant all throughout the meal . Helpful with info about their app and if u download it u get a free drink .the meal was excellent mega grill mix so much I couldn't finish it .will be back again
A great place to take my grandchildren because of the play area built on to the side. At £9.99 for a four weekly pass it is the best value anywhere around hear. The snack menu is also very good value and the choices are exactly what children want. On the downside the toilets are grubby. The hand drier in the boys toilet has been broken for months and the toilet is often blocked. As for the main bar, I find the quality of the food a bit hit or miss. The staff are always pleasant
Was in on Wednesday with friends for food to take advantage of the 40% offer they had on. Everything was outstanding from the service to the food we had starters and mains love the southern fried chicken with hot sauce my favourite we all ordered steaks which was cooked to perfection. The place was so busy so I’m glad we got a table. Would like to thank the front of house staff who weren’t getting a minute and to the chefs as I could see how busy it was and for the food to be top notch. Looking forward to joining yous again very soon!!
Friendly and easy to order on the app from your table unfortunately the Steak was well done not medium, the peppercorn sauce was rank and my meal was served on a cast iron oven dish... The type that never gets washed so as you cut your steak you get bits of old previous customers burnt food in your meal. I know restaurants like to be different serving on wooden boards and bits of slate but this takes it a bit too far for me, I don't want to eat my food off something hundreds of people have eaten off that isn't properly cleaned with burnt on food still attached thanks..
My kids love the soft play. It's a bit of a pain that you can't order food and have it served in the play area obviously for health and safety reasons but it would have been nice to be able to have pudding in there. The food is good though
Been here a couple of times before and had a good experience. This time the place was empty and it still took 30 mins for food to arrive. Chips were warm, burger was missing half the toppings & onion tasted off. Was starving so kept my mouth shut apart from the missing bacon
Food was lovely and good value for the money. The restaurant was dog friendly and we could not praise them enough for how they were with our Marley. Staff were very accommodating and friendly. Would be back.
