I’ve eaten in here 3 times over the last 3 months and I just cannot fathom how they operate their at table ordering. The first time we came they took over 30 minutes to take our food order, this was a mid week quiet evening. The food itself was very good and we were really impressed, other than the slow service. But we assumed it was just a one off oversight.nnWe returned, this time a Saturday night, bringing another couple with us, we were at our booking for 6.30pm, we thought early enough to not have poor service. This time it was approximately 45 minutes until our order was taken, despite asking twice to give our order.nnIt seems that only the owner and possible 1 other member of staff are trusted to take food orders, this may explain the extreme delays on being able to order your food.nn3rd visit, this was a group of us, I wouldn’t have visited again, someone else booked it this time. This was a Monday evening, there was only 1 other table with a couple on. It was nearly 40 minutes until we were allowed to order our food this time 10 minutes after I prompted a waiter we wanted to order.nnI honestly cannot figure out why it takes so long to order your food, it’s either to delay you so you order more drinks / spend more money or the kitchen can’t deal with the amount of takeaways and it’s to stall the orders. Whatever it is, I shall not be returning due to the sheer frustration.
The food was excellent! I had the prawn and it was cooked perfectly. My family had masala, chicken 65 and tandoori mix grilled. The service was wonderful. The ambiance was perfect as they refurbished. Overall, this was an incredible dining experience.I had a great experience at this restaurant and definitely will come back and recommended everyone to try it out. Well above average Indian food in a quiet village setting. The staff are friendly and happy to help and the menu is varied and interesting.nnI highly recommend the chicken 65 dish which is a complex dish with amazing flavours, it feels like it's been cooking for hours to develop. My new goto dish.nnSoft drink glasses are questionable though
First off, just want to say that the food from here is great, but the service we received the other night was bad enough for me to come and write this review.nWe ordered dinner for 5, including for 3 kids, on the night of the first England match of the Euros. I was totally aware that it would be a busy night and was prepared to wait for longer than usual. We ordered around 7pm, received an estimated delivery time of 8.20pm. When the food hadn't arrived by 8.50pm I rang them up to ask when they thought it would arrive, letting them know that I knew it was a busy night and not to worry about it. I was told that the food was leaving now and should be with us shortly. We live about 8 minutes away from the place but the food did not arrive until 9.25pm. No offer of a discount for next time, no concessions to anything, just the same apology that didn't really hold any weight after we'd been lied to about the delivery time. 2.5 hours for a takeaway to arrive... bit of advice if the owners are reading this - be truthful about delivery times and if you're that drastically late then offer some form of compensation. A 10% discount on your next meal maybe. It's not much but some kind of gesture would go a long way and I probably wouldn't be here writing this...
Good food, but felt our experience was ruined by the owner. Felt like we were constantly being watched and kept interrupting our meal by asking if we wanted to order more drinks when we hadn't even finished our beers.nI've dined here twice, not sure I'd return.
