We had a fantastic breakfast here. The scenery is lovely- you can see the fishing lakes really closely and the people serving the food were lovely. The interior is fantastic and the food was absolutely beautiful. They butter the toast too so you don’t have to mess about with those little sachets of butter!
We were recommended to visit and eat here at Curleys and we were not disappointed. A relaxed and welcoming restaurant in a semi-rural setting overlooking a local reservoir, the warmth of the place was tangible from the greeting to the atmosphere. We arrived at a very busy time but it didnt stop the personal service or the speed with which our order was brought to the table. The menu is traditional good food and our table all ordered differently. All items were cooked well and served piping hot. In summary, whether it's a quick snack or a hearty meal, whether it's food with wine or a cuppa, Curleys will meet your needs. Thanks to everyone for a great 1st time experience
Located on the side of 200yr old trout fishery is Curleys Dinning Room. Offering a picturesque locations enjoy a a nice meal / lunch or just call for a drink whilst passing, your able sit out on the patio or inside in the modern restaurant, Both very scenic!! Curleys offers a wide range of drink & tea selections, also offering alcoholic beverages as well. This place dose specialise in fish an chips an is rely "Chip shop" over a general café. Curleys dose have also offers a Frederick Ice ice cream shop which is located bye the entrance, so why not stop bye for a cheeky ice cream on a hot day!! .. Unfortunately our food experience wasn't the best on our first vist! Ordered the beef oinion butty an a cheese an tuna toaste with two drinks cost £28!! Wich was a bit of a rip of for what we received - both sandwiches were nothing more that what ya could get at a grease spoon! No fills very basic an quite disappointing honestly could made better at home! On raising concerns too the manager she rely didnt want know with an attitude of ya get what ya get!! What did ya expect - well something a bit more for nearly £10 butty. Would give this place another go but would try the fish an chips next time as this is what the place Is known for!! Browing over other tables it did look good what other customers were receiving, should gone for that rely!!!
Location is beautiful. Food was very good - home-made burger on a brioche bun, chips, salad. The burger was lean, good size & tasty. It was £1 extra for cheese on the burger. Staff were nice, friendly & helpful. Maybe on the expensive side - £24.70 for the burgers with two cokes. Yes, I would go again. Nice place for children and adults of all ages.
Excellent visit, Sat out with stunning views of the trout fishing lake. We even watched some nice fish jumping out, As we enjoyed are drinks and a homemade chocolate shortbread . Nice friendly staff, great friendly atmosphere and excellent service also. We did not order food but the meals they served looked very nice also. Another day I'm going to try the fishermen's breakfast, well worth a trip out to this great location
Had afternoon tea here today it was amazing would definitely recommend we all loved it!! Such a nice place and the staff and owner were so lovely!
Found this place on Google maps, its a fantastic place great food at okish prices staff are helpful and freindly, surrounding are pleasing to the eye, found the facilities to wash a little poor and the place was a little utidy, I would return
Beautiful setting on a lovely sunny day. Car park is rather small and is one way in and out so can get a little congested. Lovely building and staff, food was nice too. Quirky metal animals dotted about and a like for anglers. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning
Lovely location on the lake, the outside seating has a good view and atmosphere. However the food we had a veggie breakfast was fairly expensive and a bit underwhelming in quality as well as size. The cake on the other hand was nice.
Had beautiful afternoon tea with just 2 disappointments. At 2pm they had run out of cream for the hot choc with baileys???? And the selection if deserts was poor. The counter held an array of mouthwatering cakes and yet we got scone,.mince pie dried up slice of ship bought swiss roll and shop bought macaroon. After the delicious tea this really was a disappointment
