Cupar is a lovely small town with main train line, parks and riverside walks. Good selection of independent shops and cafes. Large free public car park 5 mins walk to town centre.
The ticket office is open Monday to Friday 0645h to around 1315. The guy said he leaves at 1330 so he needs to close a bit earlier to get ready to go then.nOtherwise there is a ticket machine on the southbound platform, which is the opposite side to the office.
A lovely small town with some nice historical sights including a Covenanter's grave, some interesting buildings and a NT property, Tarvit House just outside the town.nThere are plenty of nice cafes and a few reasonably priced restaurants of various types. Also several nice pubs.nIt's a good base from which to explore NE Fife's countryside and coast.
Lovely little town to walk round with large varied assortment of shops
