Brilliant park in the East End of Glasgow. With the addition of toilets it really makes a great day out. Huge park for the kids with picnic benches. Rock climbing. Bike trails. Large green area for football. They've extended paths so you can walk right along the Clyde. Very luck to have this so close to home.
The Cuningar Loop is a fantastic woodland area that is filled with activities and paths to explore. For little ones 1y-5y there is a play park with slides, swings, sand and climbing frames. For older ones 5y+ there is a BMX trail and climbing rocks to enjoy. For myself, I enjoy the long walk along the riverside, the woodland trail and the art installations throughout. There are plenty of spots to sit and enjoy a picnic. Playground: Sand pit, swings, multiple climbing frames including a massive wooden structure, balance beams, tunnels, slides and a see-saw. Something for everyone. The playground is often maintained. Every other week I witness work being done either to the play equipment or the surrounding area. Very little graffiti, and plenty of bins. Restrooms: Near the car park, there is a black building which houses the Restrooms.
Such a lovely place, no idea it was so close to us! Car park is very big and new the park is overall kept in exclusive shape. There are plenty of loops that can be done here - can’t wait to visit this park again. Also playgrounds and boulders for kids and adults are pretty cool.
Great park has everything. The boardwalk along the clydeside, the viewing platform for watching the wildlife, is a great addition. There are picnic areas, a playpark a bike track, climbing boulders and more. The ground s very flat so great for wheelchair users, prams, scooters, bikes ect especially for kids learning to ride. We regularly walk our dogs and find most owners in the park to be responsible. Parking is also very good as is public transport routes.
Great combination of things to do and relaxing places at one place. Clean and nice , events for kids and adults alike. Nature is let to spread and flourish, animals can live and be observed the same time. Many things to try on bike and on foot, climb and walk, play and look. Also river Clyde has a nice cleaner portion around with some nice bridges. Playground: Versatile and big and for all ages Dog-friendliness: Can walk them all around Picnic area: Great green areas todo that.
The car park is closed just now so you have to park on the street and there is not a lot of spaces. The toilets are in the building at the entrance off downiebrae road and the cafe is located there as well. There is a few bike tracks that go from beginner to jumps. The boulder walls are set up with different levels of ability but even with that there quite difficult to begin with. The play park has the normal slides, swings etc but there is a area that has sand and assault course. The walk round is very easy and the paths are well maintained. Playground: Playground has the slides, swings, assault course, sand. Restrooms: The toilets are in the building as you walk in downiebrae road. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed. Picnic area: There is lots of grass but there is picnic tables at the learning zone.
Beautiful place, lot of activities for kids specially white sand. Take care of closing time for car parking. If you get late, you will face trouble while taking your car out.
Built on an old brownfield site this is part of the regeneration of the area. It is a great resource for walking running and has a small mountain bike trail and bouldering area. It has a good play area and walks near the Clyde. It’s a great development which is not well known . The photos attached say how the area has been reclaimed . On site is the both which has toilets . It’s great for walking the dog too!
Nice wee hidden bit of Glasgow, good for walks and has a nice swing park for the kids. For the old ones there are huge rocks to climb of varying degrees of difficulty. If you have your bike with you there also a bike track with little bumps and humps, if that's too much then you can simply cycle around the whole of cuningar loop and the various paths and trails that it has. Great wee afternoon out in the open fresh air. Thumbs up. Update, new addition since last visit includes great views over the city!
Very quite , clean and full of nature a beautiful park with many track for walk and cycle . Play area for kids, plenty of car park spaces for free
