There seem no quality control on their windows. Install 20+ windows 10 years ago but started to have issue after 5 years. Some windows started to leak air and became very fogy inside. Warranty only cover replacement glass. You have to either take the window to the factory or pay a premium labor fee for worker to come to the house. I'm pretty handy so i ordered the replacement glass took a month and re-installed all by myself. It took some labor and silicon for replacing the glass. So far i have replaced almost 10 problem windows. However, today when i was replacing the last one, i realized that the original glass was actually a broken one. the glass has broken corner and the missing piece leaves a hole. You can tell that the missing piece happened before they did the sealing as the seal rubber covers the broken edge. it was such obvious defective part but it was still put into production. it tells people that nobody cares the product quality at least at factory. also both the original and replacement glass are bit small to the window frame. Good news is it was surprisingly easy for me to take the original glass off the window. but bad news is this is because there is no silicon glue and seal the glass to the frame. I have totally lost confidence to this product and wondering if the replacement will have the same foggy problem years later as they don't look like quality ones either.
I've had these crystal windows for close to a decade. I originally got them because I thought that I would save money. There's a reason why they're much less than Pella or Anderson : Poor Quality. They're extremely low quality. One year in I realized that they whistle because they had a gap that allowed to wind to go in. They had a tech come out to check. The tech did't try much to fix the problem and left saying it there's not much he can do. A few years later, moths came into our house. They were coming in from the gaps behind window mesh. Think twice before you buy these windows because they will cost you much more in pain and suffering. You will be stuck with these windows and their chronic problems for decades.
We purchased Crystal 200 series windows and get them installed by American windows plus , they provide the best options and advice and instructions of Crystal windows! The windows they are wonderful and professional installation for American windows Plus is also impressive! Now my sunny room is been wonderful after the home improvement, the windows are pretty and they do provide timely after service. Recommended
Buying and dealing with Crystal Windows is one of my worst experiences. I will never do business with them again. I used their product for my entire house and several units failed miserably within the first 5 years and they continue to fail. The warranty process is extremely inconvenient and stressful. See photos of some of the defective units. Nine units failed so far. The seal inside breaks and panel becomes fuzzy and in some cases the seal breaks in small pieces and scatters inside the panel. Again, I will never ever do business with them again....
What can I say other than WOW! Jeannie and her team went above and beyond what I’d expect any other company to do! I know where I’ll be getting all my future windows from, and have already recommended her to friends and family. It was an amazing experience, and the work they completed on our house turned it into a home! They replaced 16 windows in one day with expertise, even cutting a new hole out for us !! Crystal windows is so lucky to have Jeannie and her team, and so were we!
Replaced all my windows with Crystal casement windows. Jeannie from Precious Windows and her team were exceptional. She kept us informed throughout the entire process and were to replace all our windows and doors in two days! The entire process was smooth and we couldn’t have been happier with the results. Our relationship with Crystal Windows goes back more than 25 years ago.
Terrible. I don’t think i have to say anymore. The pictures will show. These windows leaked and could barely open from day one.
Update: Reached out to them per the owner response below. Guess what, never even received a reply to the email I sent them. Crystal Windows has replaced 3 windows in my apartment over the past year. Every winter one of the windows in the apartment breaks. In all instances the window company blames me for impacts. THREE WINDOWS, every time during winter, all cracked in the corners of the pane. The first time my landlord paid, second time I paid, third time Crystal should pay for their poor quality product.
