The college itself is good but the youngster student at this college is very nasty. They are rude . Since I started my courses at the college all I hear next to my shoulder and right behind my back is “F” words every 2 seconds, they have no respect of others at all. Honestly, I hardly see a properly white British student here ! They are all 95% from others culture background and they have no manner, respect and so rude. I can’t wait to finish my course and go somewhere else but not this Croydon College.
I went to this college for many years, and whilst it did have some struggles here and there, it was always improving constantly and the facilities it offered were exceptional. I truly felt like I was a part of the college and I do miss visiting it from time to time, especially just to see how much it has improved. The staff were really helpful and enthusiastic and always went above and beyond for their students.
Having been on both the Level 4 and Foundation Art Courses, this college was a stellar experience from start to finish and I will never forget the fun I had with this place between 2019 and 2022; it also helped propell me to my first choice uni! Overall a fantastic place for the arts!
As a disappointed student, I can't help but reflect on the past seven years spent at Croydon College. My academic journey commenced at Level 1 and culminated in my recent graduation, marked by unwavering commitment and dedication. However, my profound disappointment stems from the lack of recognition I received for my efforts and achievements.nnThroughout this journey, I consistently achieved merits and distinctions, and it culminated in a 2:1 grade at the university level. In my eyes, it was a testament to perseverance and a source of inspiration for younger students. Yet, I can't shake the feeling that my unique path as a mature student wasn't truly acknowledged.nnFrom my perspective, it's disheartening to witness the disparity between my efforts and the recognition I received. This experience raises concerns about how the college values and rewards the dedication of students like me. I hope for a more equitable approach that recognises and appreciates the hard work and commitment of all students, regardless of their age or background.
Croydon College is an educational institution with 8,000 students, made up of a Further Education College, The Croydon School of Art and a University Centre. It is located in Croydon, within the London Borough of Croydon. Its origins can be traced to a School of Art that was established in 1868, which subsequently merged with Croydon Polytechnic to create the college shortly after the Second World War. The college is the only further education college to have been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service QAVS and is currently graded 'good' by Ofsted 2014.
